WRC » Ostberg picks up Mikkelsen's co-driver Floene

Rowdy75: Probability that Andersson left Ostberg because Msport will likely pay significantly less than Citroen did and Skoda will. Floenes contract with his management was to end at the end of 2016 and Mikkelsens replacement co driver was tipped to be his new co driver at the start of 2017 anyway. (And also the fact that Floene had been Mikkelsens co driver before, then was dumped before being reinstated again) This way, Floene possibly extends his career as a wrc co driver, and with a big possibility that Latvala leaves VW for Toyota in 2017, Mikkelsen could move up to the main VW team with a co driver that he would now have a year to familiarise with, and Tideman step up to the VW Motorsport 2 team with Andersson.
Explanations like above is why I go straight to the comments - Very concise and logical. Of course JML will go to Toyota. Should the new Yaris be fast, we will see some excellent battles, in 2017...

WRC » Makinen hints at three car Toyota line-up in 2017

Rayzerp2: In a few short years the WRC has gone from the like of growling fire spitting Subaru Impreza muscle cars to VW Polos and now a Toyota Yaris??? Good luck to Toyota...been a while since any success in motorsport but very hard to get excited at the prospect.
I totally agree, hard to get excited about the Yaris. I would like to see JML and/or Kris Meeke take the fight to VW in this awful looking car - stranger things have happened. Something needs to generate interest in WRC...

WRC » Ogier: I did not need to push too hard

Dafydd, you make a valid point but it appears here that the dominance and more specifically the personality of one, little Seb is being compared to his namesake from the not so distant past when It was pretty much Loeb Loeb Loeb Loeb Loeb Loeb Loeb Loeb Loeb Loeb or occasionally Loeb. I do recall it being suggested right here on this site that Loeb had no personality compared with someone, for example, like Solberg. Of course (we now know) that this was not true, that it was only our perception at the time. The respective dominance of each Frenchman (inadvertently) did little for the sport and both have had moments when they struggled to be humble as they annihilated the field. What HAS changed IS the playing field, which admittedly has softened up a bit, especially since "decades past".

WRC » Latvala to play catch up in Mexico

I would like to see Neuville battle (in this order) Ostberg, Mikklelsen or JML for the lead. Edit 18:02 MST That is to say, I would like to see Neuville battle for the lead. And I would most prefer to this battle to be with Mads. If not Mads, I would like see Mikkelsen show VW what they know he is capable of. Finally, I would not be at all disappointed if JML's new set up enables him to dominate.
