F1 » Maldonado penalised for Gutierrez clash

@richard.... the tv clearly showed side on that the Sauber was easily in front before the braking area, and Maldanado just braked way too late. The onus must be on the car behind to be careful particularly on speeding up exiting the pits. You obviously Richard think it was a fair shot to pass in this manner. Maldanado hasnt got the ability to race with others, as he has just proved again, with 2 clashes in this race.

F1 » Maldonado penalised for Gutierrez clash

@richard.....you must have the same spacial awareness that Maldanado has....ie not much. I did read your post, and as I clearly said, the tv shows the Sauber in front at the braking point. If Guitierez had given Maldanado 3 cars width space, he would have still ploughed into him as MALDANADO was out of control and locked up. The bigger joke is the penalty he has, against what Ricciardo was given for something he did not cause. At least he proved his race pace is every bit as good as Vettel. Good Lad!!

Richard, how an earth you can say that Tilke does a good job, mainly in part to weather a place is flat or not is beyond me. Anyone owning Scalextric could provide a better effort at something challenging compared to what Hermann T has achieved. Just because where you start with is flat, doesnt have to stay that way, thats why you have JBC diggers........ The best tracks are the old ones, with natural contours and no Hermann T. However given the budget he has had, he could have done SO much better....

I am pretty sure that there are plenty of folk that could design something for F1 that would work.....ie corners profiled that flow fast into slow tight apex, wide entry exit for more than one line, and above all, no corners sequence where aero grip is main reasons for direction change. Land and topography can help make a track, but so can imagination....something that F1 has missed, just as with F1 car design not asking drivers for their input to make cars work better, and possibly safer.......

F1 » Six of the Best: Ugly ducklings

I dont think this article is written about ugliness as much as competiveness. The Arrows was a real doodlebug, and way out of scale. The rest here are hardly ugly. A better bit of research can come up with much nastier looks, as have been mentioned already. The March , Ferrari and Ligier are unusual, eyecatching designs, and certainly dont offend, unlike the stupid noses we have this year.

F1 » Red Bull appeal date set

Richard...please state what formulae use such measures outside F1. Measure of fuel by injectors may be consistent, but not as accurate as the FIA metering units. They are calibrated, and adjusted accordingly, and Red Bulls version was this. If all teams had the same scrutiny, I cant see how they should escape measure by the rules, particularly when they were asked to alter their fuel rate in the race and ignored that ruling. I still believe RedBull were trying to keep their car running in a manner outside of the rules. The rules will be farcicle if the Team win their appeal. I see this to be no different to running your own type of ECU if you think the one supplied to fit the rules doesnt quite fit your engine parameters./ There seem to be many blind people on here, particularly with advice from Sunny IS PRETTY CLEAR.........Asnwer my question please Rich.?

F1 » Red Bull appeal date set

Cant agree more Sunny, but then most forums have people that write with more time than knowledge, on subjects which are only half read anyway. It is more frustrating when some like to push their opinion and insist it is the only way. Oh well, at least a court case will settle this latest F1 debate, and hopefully give everyone a level playing field.
