F1 » Ecclestone won’t be Sauber saviour

well done to the FIA as all the cash strapped teams will be having to massively increase their budgets to pay for your little pea shooter engines next year to keep the manufactures happy as they can justify it to the boards and shareholders while they mess about in the sport and buy grace and favour. I think we will be hearing more of this type of thing from others in the upcoming months. Maybe F1 teams also need to stop paying themselves Hollywood salaries and maybe book normal hotel rooms and travelling economy like all the other global businesses which are struggling..... and pigs might fly......

F1 » Pirelli's British Grand Prix statement in full

so can I presume it was the pirelli tyre technicians mounting the tyres for the teams which were putting them on backwards at the request of the teams ? e.g. the tyre technicians were not told not to do it. From my paddock experiences I do not think teams can take tyres on, or off wheels, only the tyre manufacturers can, all a team can do is add or remove tyre pressure within presumably a recommended window

F1 » HAVE YOUR SAY: Who or what is to blame for F1 tyre shambles?

it isnt the kerbs, 1000's of racing cars have been over them, and its only Pielli's this year that have a delamination problem. The problem lies with lotus, force india and ferrari who opposed a change in the tyre contsruction earlier this season which might of solved it. These stupid decisions were taken as these teams felt an advantage they had using steel belt tyre technology would of eroded. But, you then have to utterly blame Bernie and Todt for allowing this lamentable debacle as the buck stops on their table and they just watched it all unfold this season.

F1 » Marussia still seeking level playing field

When back of the grid teams start to sniffle its all unfair that some teams have got so much more than them, but neglect to realise these big teams have been there 20 times longer, won races and got the T shirts then sorry, but i wont sob with you. The sport is the same over hyped and priced sport is was when you joined it, you knew the way it works. Just get on with it. Thats not saying I dont empathise with you, its just that most people realise that few make it in this game, your losses must be way more than the team can be worth, so its a bad biz deal. But just dont blame the sport, it has happened to many before you and there are a queue of other rich dreamers to take a turn soon. If old timers like Tom Walkinshaw could get it wrong in a sport he knew inside out dont beat yourself up too much that you are still nowhere
