F1 » Alonso doesn’t expect to sit out 2015 F1 season

I read somewhere that Ferrari had agreed with Alonso not to announce their next year's line up until after Alonso had got himself sorted. Alonso tried to claim that he held the key to next year's driver line up, that he (allegedly) had his pick of the teams. Vettel stole his thunder by announcing he was leaving Red Bull (but stopped short of saying he was going to Ferrari) and it now becomes clear that Alonso is actually rather limited in choice of seats for next year. Knowing what a cunning old fox Alonso is, I'm guessing he is now deliberately dragging his feet so that the delay in Ferrari announcing Vettel for 2015 will somehow cast doubt on the wisdom of their choice to sign Vettel. I doubt there are many people foolish enough to fall for that one, though.

F1 » Bianchi injuries confirmed, condition remains critical

Supermario: Unfortunately I have seen all the footage (and had done before I posted my last message), so I am fully aware of the severity of the crash and the implications. However, I do draw some hope from the fact that Richard Hammond made a full recovery from his DAI injury. I am also aware of the possibility that at some point in the future Jules and/or his family may find some comfort in reading the messages of love and hope which have beeen sent to them from wellwishers around the world, and on that note I wish Jules all the best for a complete recovery and send love and hope to his family at this extremely difficult time.

F1 » Red Bull won’t employ team orders

Blimey has everyone forgotten that in three races Vettel scored 0 points due to x3 DNF? Also he was told to move over for Ricciardo twice due to Ricciardo having newer tyres, was brought in early and out into traffic due to faulty GPS, missed several free practice sessions due to poor reliability, had an engine fire, had a couple of LOUSY strategy decisions, ....... need I go on?

F1 » Horner: No team orders at Red Bull

If rumours are to be believed, Seb can get out of his 2015 contract with Red Bull if he comes lower than 3rd in the WDC or wins 2 or less GPs. So its really in Red Bull's interest NOT to favour Ricciardo (unless they are trying to get rid of Vettel.) Pity CH didn't realise this a bit earlier in the season (Canada, for example when Seb had the 'faulty GPS' which brought him out of the pitstop into traffic and behind Ricciardo. The rest, as they say, is history).
