MotoGP » Bradley Smith - Q&A

Stuey99: I agree with the earlier comment that he's always making up excuses. It's always "Oh I had pace for a top 5 finish if so-and-so didn't happen". This whole methodical learning stuff it absolute tripe too. Check out the facts: 2013 - 18 races scored 116 points - Average score per race: 6.44 2014 - 13 races scored 74 points - Average score per race: 5.69 So, statistically he's getting worse. Yet he told us that 2013 was his learning year. Wow, that's a great introduction by Tech 3. 2014 is proving what little he learnt he's now forgetting. Think what you like. The ONLY reason BS got another year with Tech 3 was because Redbull had ownership on the upcoming talent and wouldn't allow them near a Monster sponsored bike. Basically Tech 3 ran out of options.
Well stated stuey......facts don't lie.

MotoGP » Bradley Smith - Q&A

Talentfan - you state " A clever and analytical, methodical, professional approach is how this comes across" as do many other BS supporters believe however BS's approach does not seem to pay off, hasn't done BS any good in MotoGP, hasn't done him any good in Moto2.......as I stated when he got the Tech 3 ride and I have maintained ever since, BS is only capable of finishing 8-10 in a race and in the championship. BS does not deserve this ride. Even his rookie teammate is doing better than BS has ever done on the bike.

MotoGP » Cracked rim halts Smith home charge

JedPB67:
Stuey99: Total BS I'm afraid. If you head over to the official MotoGP website and check Bradley's Times he was posting late 2.03's...lapping much slower than the top 6. And he had a new rear tyre. Reckon he'd have finished in the Bradley Smith reserved 8th position at best.
What you've failed to note (which I imagine is due to your bias against Smith) is that every lap bar one after the tyre change was faster than the previous. Not only was he circulating on his own but also probably building confidence up to ride the corners with the commitment again.
...but then again he already had the excuse for his poor results as usual so he just went out and rode as if he was qualifying...no pressure to race for a podium. BS is overrated and does not deserve this ride,
