F1 » 'Ongoing technical gremlins make us look stupid,' fumes Webber

Of course nobody seems to recall 2010 when he was leading the championship, had the team's support and what did he do? Went off to Australia during the break, broke a rib in a stupid mountain biking excursion during his own event and then betrayed/lied to the team by never revealing the injury. That injury led to his drop in performance and losing the lead in the championship. Mark has nobody but himself to blame for not having a championship. And as a result of his dishonesty he's also responsible for the team's having lost faith in him. While he's a fine driver and I wish him well, his whinging is getting tiresome. Good luck at Porsche.

F1 » FOM extends pit lane clampdown

Honestly, I think the pit lane journalists overestimate their value as far what they really add to the sport. It seems a perfectly reasonable response to limit extraneous personnel from the pit. While Buxton may claim that they accept the risk, I feel certain that those who insure the events/teams etc. are still going to be paying for any injuries, no matter what he might wish for us to believe.

F1 » Vettel wins German Grand Prix

Interesting about Alonso stopping at the next corner after finishing. He sure ended his interview after the race very abruptly, clearly trying to avoid questions about what happened. I wouldn't be surprised to find that he was short on fuel. Although with the safety car out for so long, it seems unlikely. Could he have made a mistake and burned off too much fuel during the safety car trying to lighten the car up for the final push?
