MotoGP » Rossi sets rostrum target in Texas

TrueFan: VR wants to be seen as the underdog...he's hoping that Marquez will make another mistake, because the psychological effect would be massive... meanwhile he goes for the win from underneath the radar. Of course, this plan relies on Marquez making a mistake, which he will be at pains to avoid. Good luck to them, I can't wait.
Agreed absolutely.. . . As any true champion would do, he took advantage of circumstances at Losail. If the others have no issues during this race then 4th is the best he will do. And even if he does get on the podium, this is very early in the season and towards the back end his fitness will let him down. I know there are those that think he walks on water but age does get to us all. . . eventually.

MotoGP » Rossi: Strategy beats ‘boring’ races, rates Dovi duel

VicariousR1: To look at it another way It must have been a complete nightmare staring at the exhaust pipe of a Ducati. . again!! - Must have been a massive relief that Casey Stoner wasn't sitting on it. --- Discuss.
I don't think so. VR relished any battle, with whoever. IMHO CS was probably VR's strongest challenger, and foe. CS had the Duc sorted for sure, and for so long it was always a one bike man. Dovi ain't like CS, and the fact that the Duc is working for him and AI is a bigger worry for HRC and Yam. Personally this could be the best season for a long while.
Good point, well put. Couldn't agree more. The return of the prodigal Duc is a welcome treat. I still wish CS was riding it though, attitude and all!!

MotoGP » Pits to victory for Marquez in Germany

@V4Poweeer Nail on the head buddy, I could not agree more. Sadly I have to watch the race on catch up TV so I can't comment on this event, yet! However I do believe we are witnessing a legend in the making and should savour every moment regardless who you support This boy could eclipse both Agostini and Rossi on pretty much any of the factory bikes if Honda ever let him go. It would be very interesting to see him on the Duc as, like you, I think only CS could have come anywhere near challenging him and this would be a good, if the only comparison.
