MotoGP » Scott Redding - Q&A

I know its off topic and its been said too many times before, Smiths bike was not up to the same level as Cals last year, an it wouldn't suprise me if, as Pol is the preffered rider of Yamaha its not the same this season either. That said Herve knows Brads work rate plus Brad knows he MUST be top satellite yam this year. Back on topic, a promising start from Scott, he's good to watch and that can only be a good thing for race fans.

MotoGP » Espargaro sticking with Yamaha frame

Aleix is being short sighted here, all he can see is that he is fast now on the old chassis, yamaha have given them, what's to say that they will give him any upgrades? also with only having to develop a chassis for one team, Im sure FTR can make bespoke adjustments faster than Yamaha. The other thing is it shows the difference in mentality between riders, Colin is willing to try and adapt /improve for the team where as Aleix is behaving like a spoiled Brat, I wont change even if it arives! time to grow up and do what your boss tells you!

MotoGP » Valentino Rossi leaves Sepang on a high

Swings and roundabouts, MM's race sim in the morning may have been faster and looks good on paper, Rossi's afternoon sim gives a truer relfection. His test was done where heat and humidity will be sapping power and using more fuel, so at least the engineers will have better data to work from. Appart from that blip on lap 13 when he droped 5 seconds, looked pretty consistant to me. That said, a Race sim is a sim, how much will he be able to claw back in a race slip streaming / or lose being held up by slower riders? so far though looks promising.

MotoGP » Sepang MotoGP test times - Wednesday (Final)

Looking further down the field, Smith doing well, I've got to ask what spec bike Pol is on, you can bet its not the two year old version Smith had last year. Reading's doing ok, only 0.3 off his team mate who is already up tio speed on the tyres and brakes, and way ahead of Abrham who's on the same kit (but I suspect better suspension and brakes) and way more experiance. as said earlyer though these times are misleading as no-one seems tio have done a race simulation yet though I'm sure we'll get a better idea at the next test.
