MotoGP » Casey Stoner to ride at Australian MotoGP, but…

"I know people will disagree with this but racing is about winning races and in the 7 years Casey raced in the MotoGP class he won 38 races, nobody else came near that in those 7 years. " @AntG... When Rossi had his first 7 years in 500CC/MotoGP he had 58 victories and was 5 times World Champion. So I agree with you that it's all about winning races and nobody came close to Rossi

MotoGP » Agostini or Hailwood? Lorenzo picks Rossi

@objective, you got me there, I really like Cream (Clapton especially). But all kidding aside, while Casey was an excellend rider and very talented, it isn't that MotoGP changed in any way because of him. While with Rossi it did. The level of profesionalism of the teams (trying to keep up with Burgess/Rossi) and the number of visitors for instance. Lorenzo (and a lot of guys in the Paddock) know this.

MotoGP » Agostini or Hailwood? Lorenzo picks Rossi

Great to hear lorenzo say this! There is no pr involved, why should there be, the question was about Ago vs Hailwood. He could have just picked one of those and nobody would have bothered. He picked Rossi because he knows what an incredible talent he has and what he has done for the sport as a whole. For me Rossi is to motoGP what the Beatles were to Pop music, totally defining it. (Stoner for instance was to motoGP what Justin Bieber is to MotoGP, only his hardcore fans think he was the Greatest...)
