F1 » Ericsson: Last Caterham races saved my career

HairyLuthier: I seem to remember something about the two Caterhams not being equal in terms of updates. It was said that because of Erricsson's backing he got the only aero updates, Kobayashi on the other hand had suspension parts wrapped in Gaffa tape.
That is exactly what happened. Ericsson was consistently demolished in qualifying and the race then when it was learned that they couldn't afford to fix The Suspension on one of the Caterhams Kobayashi's pace completely died and he was several seconds slower then Ericsson. Ericsson is just a Swedish Max Chilton.

F1 » F1: Ricciardo hits Top Gear with lap record

theeagle: All F1 drivers do good in TG (well after all they are professional drivers) but Daniel Riccardo had done extraordinary. Just wonder what Vettel's time was, although that was 1 or 2 years ago?
i think that it was 44.1. but remember, vettel was driving a rhd car, something he was not used to, whilst lulu and ricciardo were driving a car that they were used to. and vettels first time actually beat lulus first time, that is why lulu had to return to try and go faster.
Hamiltons first Attempt was in the wet, and besides Redbull is based in UK and for sure Vettel would of stayed there for quite a few years even before F1.

F1 » Vergne eyes 2016 Ferrari race seat

Vergne is an ok driver who manages to score more points then his talent level, he does have alot of bad luck though but he seems to have plataeu'd as soon as he came to F1 with no real improvement in any area. Ricciardo's speed was on another planet entirely to Vergne, only bad strategy allowed him to keep up. And Kyvat was inconsistent but had higher highs then Vergne but also lower lows. Vergnes best ability is he can learn a car instantly and be on pace right from the get go, his weakness is he can't improve much if any once he got the hang of it. His adaptability also means he is an excellent weather driver probably the best on the grid, and was his only real advantage over Ricciardo.
