MotoGP » Marquez brothers split from VR46 merchandise

hoppy: Is anyone even remotely surprised that this has happened?
Not really suprised. I think at the end of last season maybe there was some question on whether Rossi would come to his senses after everything was over, maybe he would calm down, maybe he would go talk to Marc face to face, try to clear things up, Marc said his hand was open to him etc. But a couple of months have gone by and Rossi is still attacking him, so no more putting up with his crap any longer. Bye Bye 46.7
It's funny because I actually respect Rossi more now for sticking to his guns and not bowing to the dorna pr machine. Why the heck should he shake marquez hand? Spit on it prior perhaps! Rossi is a natural leader so he won't listen to anyone but himself anyway and rightly so. He was there on the track so how can anyone tell him otherwise

MotoGP » Marquez brothers split from VR46 merchandise

PaulW54: This was announced weeks ago. After Rossi's antics at the end of last season can't blame the Marquez's for disassociating with him as quickly as possible. Why would they want to be involved in any way with someone like Rossi. Good on you Marquez's! People like Rossi need to learn not all will take their crap.
Meanwhile VR46 bags an even bigger contract from Yamaha Racing to provide their apparel. Only loser is Marquez family.

MotoGP » Stoner: Carbon frame Ducati ‘best bike’ in 2009

DontTesttheX: Oh yeah the bike everyone was crashing on. Even a mere onlooker can see that it wasn't going anywhere. Everyone slags Rossi off for sticking his neck out but at least he told them to ditch the carbon frame and look and behold the crashes ceased.
And the results also ceased... I don't think Rossi stuck his neck out at all on the Ducati after 2010.
And why should he have when the bike was crashing itself and the ducati engineers weren't listening to what rossi was telling them...

MotoGP » Rossi: I did more of the dirty work than Lorenzo

Korperation: Didn't he only clock in 2 laps more than JL...? If anything Bradderz and Pol did the dirty work aha
Considering age, it's very impressive
I agree, it is impressive. But why are we constantly bring age into the topic here. If Rossi beats Lorenzo, Rossi's age gets brought in, if he struggles, then it's used as defence. For me, Stoner coming back and being 0.5 of a second slower than Rossi, a guy who's riding the best machine on the grid and has been for 3 seasons is way more impressive. And Stoner's had 3 days on the bike.
Stoner had a 3 yr 'break' and is therefore fresh and hungry (or should be!). Rossi is 37 to Stoner's 30...Therefore a BIG BIG difference.
