MotoGP » Marquez: Time to change mentality

TalentFan: Not just Italian VR46 fans unfortunately. I recall well the singular disgust I felt when this occurred right in front of me at Donington 2008. I wish Rossi himself would intervene tbh. One public statement thanking his loyal fans for their strong support, but asking for some respect for his rivals would do his own image no harm at all, and at the same time be maybe the only thing that might put these soccer fan hooligan types onto slightly better behaviour. Ok, so Vale maybe gains a physiological advantage over rivals when the baying yellow hordes insult and behave in this thuggish manner toward his rivals..... but thats a damn poor way to get an edge. I wished VR had stepped in back in 2008, and I felt he should have. He still should IMO.
Did you not see Vale gesturing to the crowd for them to cheer Lorenzo receiving his trophy on the podium?(to avoid embarrassment)
