F1 » Mercedes asked for three-race Red Bull ban

AyrtonSenna: Obviously they are worried about the bulls. F1 is a cutthroat business where any advantage over the opposition is huge. I personally want the red bulls to stick it to them now too.
Last year at the "Tyregate" testing scandal, Red Bull were very voiciferous about Mercedes getting race bans and they were trying to lead that particular charge. Conveniently you have a very short memory. I don't want Red Bull to "stick it to Mercedes" as you quite childishly wish for, I just want to see them all race each other fairly and may the best team/driver win. This is called pay back time for Mercedes. Red Bull asked for it and now they know where they stand with Mercedes. Mercedes knew beforehand that they stood no chance of getting the ban imposed by the FIA, they were simply sending a message to Red Bull

Well I am allowed to voice my personal opinion. Tyregate is a completely different issue. They

F1 » Maldonado targets points

StevoG: Pastor Maldonado is a L plater and should be put out to pasture (Pastor) and he should never ever be driving these cars. Can you imagine what damage Pastor could do if the Lotus was more competitive or better placed? I really could not believe what he did to Gutierrez when he came out of the pits and rammed Gutierrez at the end of pit straight, what was he thinking? That was unbelievable that he thought that he could overtake Gutierrez on the inside that way. The FIA has to do something about him otherwise he will crate a bad accident and a fatality in the future with this sort of dangerous driving.
I think you're right, he should be put out to Pastor. But how do you make that stick. In 2005 while driving WRC in Monaco he ran down a marshal, seriously injuring him for which he received a 4 race ban and a LIFE ban at Monacoand yet the following year he was racing there in GP2. So much for a life ban. And the list just goes on and on.....

F1 » What we learned at the Bahrain Grand Prix

I learned that we are actually getting two races in one - Mercedes and the rest. Both equally exciting if Mercedes continue to allow no holds barred racing from Lewis and Nico. (My money is on Lewis) Ferrari is the biggest disappointment of all the teams this season so far. They say that a company is only as good as the people that work there so I think that some changes are in order, starting from the top down. It's a shame when I see two such talented drivers strugling to be the best of the midfield pack Force India is the biggest surprise so far and I wish them well. I hope that Williams catches them soon. Lotus are right where they were expected to be and I don't see any light at the end of the tunnel for them anytime soon. Maldonado is still very dangerous and something needs to be done about him as a matter of urgency. All things considered, A great close fought grand prix that we haven' had the pleasure of for some time. Lets hope that it continues!
