cfsteezy: Lol at the stoner vs rossi argument... again... Rossi didnt ride the same ducati as stoner... On that same note, stoner never rode yamaha. Different riders both great on different days/bikes... Reality check. Rossi rode the Honda in the 8hr though and won lol Silly me I thought the 8hr was a team event. Yeah it was the whole team on the bike when he crashed!!

MotoGP » Lorenzo: It’s like tennis…

Welshie:
classicmotof1: Seven championships vs two, from 500 to 1000cc, from max biaggi to miller, maybe even rabbat in the future. Excuse us all, but rossi is way ahead of lorenzo.
Calm down fanboy. You forget that Lorenzo was/is riding in an era of multiple world champs (Stoner, Rossi, Marquez) Whereas from 2001-2006 Rossi was largely unchallenged (Yamaha was nowhere and his only challengers were Biaggi Yamaha & then Biaggi & Gibernau on SATELLITE Honda's). Of the time Rossi & lorenzo have raced together, they have both won 2 championships, Rossi only on 800's and Lorenzo on 800s & 1000s
Only biaggi !!!!!!!!!that's when you know people like you don't know sh#t about this sport !!

SkyWilk: Funny how people come out in force to say that JLO is a one trick pony, and Rossi is the big "all rounder". Before this tire came up in 2014 Rossi was nowhere, and nowhere near Lorenzo...
What for 1 season ?? While he was re learning the yam ,08 09 14 vs 2013 cannot include 2010 as he spent 4 races out injured and rehabilitation!!! So Jorge has a season on him what a legend !!

2 titles from nearly 8 seasons is not good enough that's why Yamaha called for a doctor !!
When Lorenzo has been in the top class for 16 years lets look at the stats then. Plus, Lorenzo is the ONLY river to have ever beaten Rossi on the same equipment.. You can !!! All you want, but we all know Rossi went back to Yamaha with his tail tucked between his legs, and a lot of the move back was thanks to Dorna wanting their cash cow up front again. It's funny how you proclaim Yamaha called a Doctor for their bike, but when Ducati did he flunked big time.
There goes your inexperience again ! Rossi been at 3 teams not 1 so that's not comparable, what you can do maybe is count Yamaha years so currently its 4 titles and 52 wins from 9 and a bit years vs 2 titles and what 30 odd wins in 7 and a half years and 2 of them years were against the mighty ben spies

Trist26: What I don't understand is surely it's easier to beat someone who's quicker than you but using less edge of thetyre thanto beat someone who uses all of the tyre as there'es less variability. ie if Rossi is using less lean angle and/or relying on far edge grip less, what reason is there that Lorenzo shouldn't be able to beat vale? Or better put, how can Vale go so fast without riding on the very edge of the tyre and sweeping great lines? Lorenzo is a tit. When he wins he's quickest to puff his chest out with arrogant poses yet when he fks up he moans.

I'm not a Rossi fanboy either but I been a fan of the sport a long time ,and I recognise what rossi has contributed,I also recognise that Lorenzo whilst a very talented modern day racer he did benefit from jumping straight on the best bike in the business when lucked in either side of the rookie rule and his return of 2 titles from nearly 8 seasons is not good enough that's why Yamaha called for a doctor !!

Funny how you cherry pick. In 2009 Lorenzo ran Rossi hard, in 2010 he comperensively outpaced him BEFORE his accident in Mugello. If you want to play the injury card lets discount 2014 then? When Lorenzo broke his collarbone twice in succession... I'm not a Lorenzo bopper, but the Rossi fanboy blindness is almost like a religion.
It was 2 races to 1 on to be fair rossis 15th championship campaign I mean seriously how long can he keep getting compared the rest are fresher. Plus Lorenzo broke his collarbone in 2013 2014 was the year of the jump starts
