MotoGP » Hayden: Tough to be so slow at my home GP

Fullofit: Honda USA must have been thrilled to get Nicky back on a Honda, & must have had huge plans to cash in ... Unfortunately for them, HRC have delivered Nicky with such a dud, that the Honda USA marketing team is probably having to do more damage control instead. There is a definite feeling that Honda have screwed Nicky with a rubbish bike ... & that's not going to sell any bikes!
Exactly my pre-season "prediction" - how predictable.....

MotoGP » Hayden: Tough to be so slow at my home GP

TrueFan:
kenluckykid69: Espagaro's top speed is slightly better than Hayden's yet Hayden is 2 seconds slower than than Espargaro.
Actually, Nicky's best lap was 1.3 seconds off AE, and 6 kph slower top speed. Aoyama had the same top speed, and was 2.2 seconds slower. Maybe you were looking at his times?
First practice. Second practice Hayden improved (as he usually does). Nevertheless, it is large gap for a small kmh difference. The truth of the matter the top speed is rarely the issue, but acceleration. Furthermore acceleration is traction management, rather than all out HP. Great motor and poor suspension setup and it all goes to waste. Then throw in the electronics TC-EMS setup and well...... Which is why HRC insists that riders-teams need more experience on THIS bike.

MotoGP » Hayden pins hopes on twisty bits

reinmacre: Moving from the 990 platform, which was the last true test of the art of throttle control and nards didn't help Hayden.
Wrong. TC was first introduced by Honda in 03. Granted, it was "primitive" by today's standards, but when Rossi first tested it he said it was "like cheating". Soooo, you think Hayden can kick ash without TC??? Well, there is a simple way to find out and it is called moto2. The engines are the same - sealed and random. No howling of fans for not having big powa mot-a! After all Elias stepped down from motogp and came back. Stoner had stepped down from 250GP to 125GP. Would Hayden take the Moto2 challenge if in 2015 he had no motogp ride (as elias did)? Now THAT would be REALLY interesting !!

MotoGP » Hayden pins hopes on twisty bits

FasterEddie69: Hey Pacundo, .....Oh by the way, how many races has everyone not named Pedrosa, Stonner, Rosi, Lorenzo, or Marc won in the past 10 years? Dovi won one and Cal is 0.
Melandri and Capirossi won more races than Hayden did in 2006, despite that both had a hospital stay.... In addition, Marco was on Honda SAT bike. Gibernau has won 8 motogp races on a (honda) SAT bike !! Keep (the BS) up - you are looking darn good !!

MotoGP » Hayden: Honda’s not going to sleep through this

BrianC: You're so ignorant. Look at the top speed. The RCV1000 is down almost a full 20kph on the straight. Yeah, but that's Hayden's fault right? That Honda didn't provide a competitive bike that they SAID it was. Being down so far on top speed, Hayden has a legitimate beef. You, however, do not....
Wow, you are sooooo "knowledgeable" After all top speed is da chit !! Lets see first practice. Marquez is among the fastest bikes (334kmh), yet there are 5 bikes within 0-2kmh ! Yet, he is almost 1 second faster than Pedrosa with the same exact max top speed. Dovi who is 2kmh faster than marquez is 1.5 seconds SLOWER than marquez. That faster ttop speed sure helps! Now for the final (blow). Espargaro highest top speed is 318kmh - 3kmh faster than Hayden, yet is in second place !! Barely 0.9 second slower than Marquez. By your "expertise", Espargaro should be some 2 secs slower....

MotoGP » Hayden: Honda’s not going to sleep through this

BrianC: You mean the same Hayden that won the championship in 2006 then Honda put out a piece of crap bike in 2007 and 2008 so that no one could win on it, then dumped Hayden and didn't win anything on their new bikes until Stoner got on one. Then when they go back up to 1000 they start winning again. Please. You guys haven't the first clue.
LMAO !! You still dont get it, do you ? LOL !! I said long ago Hayden would do chit without a vastly superior bike and massive luck. Thus do a poor title defense (as shown) and back to the usual 8th. Same with the Duc: He would not better the Horrible Honda results, nor beat Stoner or Dovi at season end. Again with the Aspar. He would not beat dovi, nor he will best Ducati results.
