F1 » F1 2013 POLL: Who was the icon of the Italian GP?

The people on this site are such a joke. Every weekend when I see the poll, it's like I've been watching a different race than the people voting. How can you guys honestly say that Fernando, Hamilton and Kimi all out-did Vettel? That is just ridiculous. And Hulkenberg getting a measly 35%? He was the clear top this weak. 1: Hulkenberg 2: Vettel 3: ??? I really don't know. I don't think anyone impressed me enough to earn this place. I felt like everyone else did a pretty average(or below average for quite a few of them) weekend.

F1 » Red Bull confirms 2014 line-up

@Bob jane, Newey has said so himself, he's never designed a car around a certain driver. He makes them as fast as he possibly can and then its up to each driver to adapt to the car. As for joining "Vettels team", there's no doubt in my mind that RBR will support whoever is looking more likely to win. If Dan comes in and beats Seb in the races then i think they will quickly shift their focus to him. Seeing as Vettels reputation is quite tattered, Dan becoming their nr 1 would probably be PR heaven. I have my doubts Dan will be able to best Seb though(I dont think there are many who can) but I wish him the best of luck! His future is in his hands!

F1 » Lauda: Hulkenberg needs another year

Hulkenberg is 26 years old and 50 races into his carreer. If he is to continue improving he needs to get into a top team. He's obviously proven he's one of, if not the best in the mid tier and he, if anyone, deserves a shot to drive with the big boys. I'd love to see what he could do in a competitive car. I don't know what kind of games Niki is playing. I don't mind him commenting on other teams, but I find it weird when 90% of what comes out of his mouth is "tips" to other teams. Perhaps he wants to keep Hulkenberg as a backup in case Rosberg/Hamilton decides to switch teams/is fired.

F1 » F1 2013 POLL: Who sparkled in Spa?

Let the Vettel denial begin! Vettel was king of Spa this weekend. No one else could even touch him. Great pass on the first lap, and then easily built a huge cushion in barely no time at all. Everytime sometime pushed he stomped on the throttle to demoralize them. Not to mention absolutely demolishing the fastest lap just for fun. But of course he wont win the poll. Alonso gets a special mention for a beast of a start(as usual) and quickly dispatching Webber and Lewis. The Ferrari looked very strong this weekend. Dont think they had quite the pace to challange Vettel even if they had qualified better but Monza should be very intersting!

F1 » F1 2013 POLL: Who was the best in Budapest?

Hamilton obviously drove a great race but was really unthreatened as his opposition got unlucky/took themselves out. The Mercedes' superior top speed was definitely a huge boon in overtaking on this track. I also heard him say that Button did him a favor, making it sound like Button more or less let him pass? I dunno. Vettel drove his first "bad" race of the season. The Red Bulls lack of straight-line speed obviously made overtaking near impossible, and while he finally got the pass on the much slower Button, he broke his front wing in the process(they never actually showed the pass on the broadcast I was watching so I don't know how it happened, but from his comments after the race it seemed like it was his own fault.) Couple that with a stupidly late pit and what seemed like another KERS problem and I'm quite impressed he even managed third. Great seeing him and Kimi go at it at the end of the race though! Overall, the one that impressed me most was Kimi, who had a great Sunday, n
