MotoGP » Marquez: 'Big pain in the neck'

cosmros: How come he got more power while upshifting and highsided . Wouldnt this be the other way round ? He shud have highsided while accidently downshifting . Does someone know why ?
You tend to go faster when you change up a gear, more speed less grip when leaning a bike over.
The amount of Throttle he applied has to be same when Marc Marquez thought he is in Second Gear . So if he is in third , the power he got shud be less then what he expected if he is higher gear...Still cant work my head around this crash.
The difference between second and third ratios will be quite small and with the seamless shift you dont close the throttle so the same amount of revs/power is applied to the already spinning rear wheel spinning it faster causing the rear to slide catching MM out and shutting the throttle would cause the rear to grip and highside him.
