F1 » Mattiacci wary of celebrating Hungary result

Russell13: I don't see why everyone is saying Alonso did an amazing job that race, he started 5th so was already in a good place and then he had a good strategy. Imo kimi's performance was pritty equal, his tyers were also around the same age at the end.
Did you not see the same race I did? I saw Alonso in a 3rd rate car with worn tires keeping the race winner and the WDC contender at bay for many laps. That would have been an impressive drive from someone in a top tier car, let alone in a dog like the ferrari.
The Ferrari was not that bad this weekend had ok race pace, he didn't keep Riccardo behind long at the end but he did well keeping lulu behind who was in a faster car but also had worn tyres. I never said he didn't drive well just not as well as Riccardo or lulu.
