MotoGP » MotoGP confirms ITV highlights deal

Studs: didn't you think the sound mix was poor? I too signed up, and although the coverage was excellent, the commentators mics varied in volume minute by minute - I'd turn the tv up so I could hear them, but the track sound seemed to be coming from the pits and was drowning out the talking - nearly waking up my Mrs and annoying the hell outta me! The mixer just gave overall volume control :(

MotoGP » Ducati Open or Factory? The wait continues…

Worth remembering that Duc took the open decision in the interests of development, not 2014 results. I fear they might have pushed their luck by trying to impose their ecu though - that's got nothing to do with mechanical development, if anything the increased variables provided by their ecu could shadow mechanical feedback. I think Duc should have waited before dropping the ecu-bomb...... If you bend something far enough or often enough it will break......

MotoGP » Ducati 'not happy' with Factory 2 development

Gigi would look a bit shady if he said the ' open' decision was in the interests of engine & chassis development only to then moan about a rule change that only affects pace over race distance / the last 5 Laps! Even if the rules are wonky, at least let everyone know they are 3 months in advance....... It's almost as though Dorna / Honda didn't think Ducati would have the balls to go open - SURELY they had contingency plans, no?!?!?! Yam are being quiet, probably because they've done pretty much the same as Duc, what with Asparagus being on his Yamaha Hero, so they have eggs in both do Honda with Bradall I suppose....... DORNA mismanagement. They could have been much harsher though, so it's not all bad IMHO :-)

MotoGP » MotoGP Factory 2 triggered by Ducati 'advantage'

Oh, and re: Honda's "we use racing to develop software" excuse: a) how is GPS-controlled wheelie control useful to ANYONE?! b) how come they're so scared of offtheshelf parts if theirs are so advanced?! c) why is the WSBK CBR so slow, and, the biggest question of all: d) why did my 4 year old cbr600rr get 28mpg, when my 20 year old YZF600 gets 50+ mpg and is quicker to 110mph?!!!! My mate's Hornet is a 600 carb motor and he also gets almost half my mpg, whilst riding A LOT slower!!! Maybe we should be pointing fingers at Repsol as well.......... They have the $ after all, something that Caramel seems to prefer over sporting spectacle!!!
