F1 » Maldonado confirms F1 exit

***Breaking News*** Pastor Maldonando lands a race seat in the USA Demolition Derby Series. He's says he looking forward to putting the experience he has gained in F1 in to good use in a series that predominately smashes up cars. A series where he will be applauded for his normal behaviour instead of penalised.

MotoGP » Nicky Hayden visits WSBK

Welshie:
Oli: I hope Nicky goes to WSB and on a good bike, I think it'd be great for the series and I think he'd do well. Having said that, it'll still be a huge challenge for him. Been a while since anyone has gone from the middle order of MotoGP and been slotted straight into the front of WSB. De Puniet, Elias, Aoyama etc, have all struggled, and probably the last person to make the jump from the middle of the GP grid and win in WSB was Checa, and he took a couple of years to get going.
What about Melandri?
What about the current world superbike champion Guintoli?

F1 » Manor pass FIA crash tests with updated 2014 car

I echo some of the other comments on here. Having a formula 1 team should be a viable business model. Coming out of administration is obviously a good thing, but to circulate the back of the pack in an out of date car will surely add to their existing debt? and by the time they receive that £40m they will just about break even? to me, it just seems unfair to all the suppliers that are waiting for their money whilst the team is jetting all over the world to "circulate" the tracks. I don't think they will be racing anybody this year
