F1 » Kate Walker: ‘Scuderia Ferrari has been reorganised’

Dreadnaught: No possibility that the management changes have anything to do with Arrivabene ( how does that translate) he has not been there long enough and is anyway a tobacco marketing man not a management guru. .
and you know i bet that you had not heard of arrivabenne before, so how can you prejudge his worth? and remember, briatore was a benetton salesman and was drafted in and did a good job! people have different skills and i am confident that he will have no problem adapting to his new position.
Absolutely right. Never heard of him, one good reason for not being overly impressed. Distributing fag money cannot be the ideal training ground for running an F1 team. Arrivabene is not Briatore and as we eventually found out he had many more strings to his bow than just being a salesman for woolly pulleys.

F1 » F1 Driver of the Year 2014: 6th

No doubt a hornet's nest but my opinion was that he was the architect of his own misfortune in both accidents. Crash 1 he really chopped the corner, being unaware of Kobayashi's car, never wise on Lap 1. Crash 2 he knew Perez had brake problems and is quite feisty and left his move very late and stayed much too close. He certainly did well towards the end of the season but earlier was less impressive..

F1 » Ecclestone calls for F1 power unit to be dropped

Pain in the bum ! The power units should not and must not be dropped. Whether we like the noise or not this is the future, F1 is an anachronism but it should at least try to keep itself relevant. If noise is all you require go and stand under the end of Heathrow runway, or buy a shotgun and blast a few clays, until your hearing fails. F1 was never intended to be a sinecure for dreamers, scallywags and no hopers. The racing was generally excellent, the technical challenges fascinating and new manufactures are attracted. The money spent by the manufacturers would buy the also rans several times over and they certainly would not be happy to revert just to bolster Bernie's pension fund. For sure that is all he is considering.
