RR » Guy Martin excluded from Classic TT races

Yeah rules are rules but I imaging the IOM organisers were getting a bit of petty revenge on Martin because he and they had another falling out at the TT this year. Martin does not play the corporate bull**** game and the TT, like many events these days, is attended by an increasingly large number of people who are only at the event because it's cool to be there and not because they are bike fans per se. Anyway I'd put money of John McGuiness turning up late to sign on and NOT being turned away.

MotoGP » 'Big, big drop' in grip consigns Lorenzo to third

It's only correct to have everyone on the same tyre when everyone is running the same chassis, engine and suspension. This is MotoGP and the bikes are prototype therefore the tyres should be bespoke for the bike. The last time the Ducati worked was on a bespoke tyre designed for that bike. It seems to me that for this season it has been decided the 'control' tyre has been designed for the Honda's. Championships should never be decided by tyres.

F1 » Silverstone finds buyer

They've recently decided to start charging for event visitors to park their car at Silverstone which I think is a piss take. Three Day £55, Sunday, Race Day £45, Saturday Qualifying £20. Don't pay for parking !! The same applies here as it does in supermarket car parks and motorway service stations in that if you are issued a civil parking notice just ignore it completely. Don't engage with them. Only the police and local authorities can issue fines as such. Private companies offering parking cannot issue fines.

MotoGP » Recharged and ready

Opinions are all well and good but the BS spewed out by the keyboard warriors is nothing more than vitriol and they have no idea what they are talking about. Most couldn't make it to a race track let alone have the balls to repeat their vitriol to the very person they are putting down. Yes just best to ignore them as they deserve no respect.

MotoGP » Recharged and ready

Listen to the armchair haters who I doubt even ride motorbikes themselves let alone understand how MotoGP works when it comes to rider movement between teams. You are pathetic. Your expectations of him are way beyond what his team expects and he's finished in seven out of the nine races so far this season. Smith was in the right place at the right time when a rider needed to be identified to replace Dovi and who in their right mind would turn down a ride in the big show? Considering he's not yet even started to push the Yam he's doing ok. He's no Marquez but he's also no mug so let's see how the rest of his season goes. I'm glad he'll still be on the Yam next season.

MotoGP » Poncharal pays tribute to Ducati-bound Crutchlow

The problem with the Desmo is the simple fact of control tyres. Stoner won the title on the Desmo prior to the introduction of the control tyre when all the bikes had bespoke tyres made for the bikes. After the control tyre was introduced Stoner would either finish well or bin it trying because the bikes now have to be made to work with the control tyres which on prototype machines is ridiculous. I wish Crutchlow all the best and at 27 years of age this is purely a money move for which I don't blame him at all.
