RR » Guy Martin: Tyco BMW deal stopped me from retiring

billy fitzsimons: I just can't understand how michael is not on the bmw, there's nobody more committed, and as the saying goes ,if it's not broke why fix it.
It's not his riding which puts teams off. It's his mouth and his attitude. He doesn't turn up at promotional events e.g. at Barton Bike Night he was advertised but didn't show- the people on the stand where he should have been said he hadn't contacted them, they didn't know where he was, and they were definitely not at all pleased. It was revealed in MCN that he sometimes doesn't show up at meetings or appointments with some of the top people in International racing. He allows his mouth to run off, such as at the NW200 when his brother was being interviewed on TV and Michael interrupted in a very ignorant manner. He's his own worst enemy when it comes to getting lucrative rides, and most teams don't keep him for longer than season. Sad but true.
Bit of a redneck especially
