F1 » Volkswagen closing on Red Bull team buyout?

ProfessorX: pretty much. The only real checks and balances in pro racing is a competitive field, and the rules are not written for that at the moment.
Someone phone a doctor I'm in agreement with PCX! They simply can not keep the current engine rules and limitations until 2020, too expensive, utterly uninspiring and allows no competition.
Agreed,F1 simply can't survive another 5 years of this.Credible teams like RBR leaving, smaller teams folding, no new teams unable to get a foothold even if they wanted to and two engine suppliers controlling whats left paints a pretty bleak picture.F1 should be expensive, exotic, extravagant and as far away from road car technology as possible.

BSB » Tommy Hill launches new Yamaha-supported team for 2016

ianisme: Best of luck to Tommy. I don't think he'll ride himself as he has too many other things going on plus he's been out of the game for a few years. My guess is that Danny Buchan will be one of those riders. I think the other may be one of the current supersport guys and the obvious choices there would be Luke Stapleford, Kyle Ryde or (bear with me here) Andy Reid. That last one might seem a bit wild, but in many ways he reminds me of Tommy in his younger days.
Danny Buchan and Andy Reid in a team run by Tommy Hill-That would rock a few boats! Andy is a rider i would pay the entrance fee for alone.

F1 » Arrivabene: Kimi is always complaining!

How many more years does his team mate have to absolutely destroy him before he is finally given the boot? Ferrari made a HUGE mistake resigning him. They should have signed Button! I know people will disagree with that, but it's purely fanboyism. Just look at Button's stats compared to his team mates the last 5 or 6 years and look how he is going this year against Alonso - the very same driver who utterly destroyed Kimi last year. Which part of this comment is factually incorrect that 5 people can disagree with it? I'm no fan of Jenson but credit where it's due-he's solid and gets the job done. Kimi is a busted flush and will more than likely follow JB out of F1 in 2017.
