F1 » Horner lauds ‘top drawer’ Ricciardo after run to fourth

History is littered with talented kids who never made it to the pinnacle of whatever sport they compete in. The vast majority of them are/were unwilling to work hard enough and sacrifice to even be given a shot like Daniel so good luck to him. RBR have funded him for the last 7 years or so for a reason, he's obviously pretty good. If you've ever visited Perth and have seen the motorsport facilities you'd understand how hard it is to get anywhere. I can't understand why anyone would have sour grapes over it though. F1isaFraud was probably too busy posing.

F1 » Coulthard: Pressure on Vettel, not Ricciardo

Because of the continued over reliance on tyre management over the last few years the races themselves can be at times a little underwhelming and that's why I find qualifying to be far more entertaining. I acknowledge the fact that no points are awarded however I'm of the opinion that Ricciardo will be more than competitive against Seb on Saturday, initially at least. The Toro Rosso of last year was a dog yet he dragged that into Q3 numerous times, easily beating JEV. Seb will feel pressure from this specially if the car is not a great race package.

F1 » Are you a Daniel Ricciardo fan?

He's fast, has personality and most importantly earned the seat in the world championship team because he's not "well funded" which seems to matter to all of us. To do that coming from Perth which is probably the most difficult of Australia's cities to develop your motor racing because of isolation/facilities is an admirable achievement in itself.
