F1 » Raikkonen: ‘Is it safe ever?’

titfortat: I feel like a lot of you forgot the point about them aquaplaning behind the safety car, just because they slowed down, didn't improve grip or make it safer.
Most of the drivers were on intermediates at that stage & not the full wet that was available to them ... complaining about aquaplaning is like running around on tiles in your socks and complaining that you're slipping. Not that I heard any drivers complaining ... except those who stood to lose out on positions if the race continued ... like Massa.
Forgive me if this sounds silly however my physics tells me more speed = more downforce = less chance of aquaplaning. They will aquaplane more going slower wouldn't they? If its wet possibly they should stop them in the pits instead of slow laps behind a safety car as that is the only way to be certain of this type of incident not reoccurring.

F1 » Horner praises Ricciardo’s ‘massive performance’

I've followed Dans career for a few years now as he's from Perth and basically no one else has ever made it from here in Motorsport. I'm not surprised that he's doing well this year but am surprised at how well he's doing compared to Vettel. You don't win four titles in this game without being exceptional however it may be that Seb is a lot more like Hamilton than we realised previously. Is great in a great car but maybe so so in a less than great car. This is probably not the season I was expecting but intriguing all the same. Thinking ahead I've my money on Dan in Monaco.......and I'm anticipating a fair showing from Alonso in Spain.

F1 » Horner lauds ‘top drawer’ Ricciardo after run to fourth

History is littered with talented kids who never made it to the pinnacle of whatever sport they compete in. The vast majority of them are/were unwilling to work hard enough and sacrifice to even be given a shot like Daniel so good luck to him. RBR have funded him for the last 7 years or so for a reason, he's obviously pretty good. If you've ever visited Perth and have seen the motorsport facilities you'd understand how hard it is to get anywhere. I can't understand why anyone would have sour grapes over it though. F1isaFraud was probably too busy posing.
