WSBK » Denning fully in favour of new WSBK race format

Someone here on crash a few weeks ago had a great idea about having WSBK on the same weekend as motogp. Can't remember their name. It go something like this Thursday : Warm Up WSBK Friday : Qualifying WSBK and Warm Up Motogp Saturday : Supersport, Superstock, Qualifying Motogp, Race 1 WSBK Sunday : moto3, moto2, wsbk race 2 and motogp race Maybe motogp race would be later in afternoon but no big deal there I imagine. The big advantage of this would be that sponsors would flock to WSBK as they would immediately get more exposure. Fans would love it as it would be some weekend. WSBK riders would be riding in front of 100,000 instead of 5,000 fans. Everyone is happy.

MotoGP » Hayden hoping to ‘hit it hard, carry some momentum’

Mike G: In fact, IF the Open Class had their own place finishes and point system separate from production and satellite riders, for example 1st Open equals 25 points, 2nd equals 20, etc, then the below would be the current point standings for the Open Class Barbera 257 Hayden 218 Baz 203 Laverty 165 Di Meglio 140 Miller 134 deAngelis 93 Bradl 78 Abraham 44 Corti 28
Very interesting, that table is a true reflection of the open championship. Thanks for compiling it, maybe keep it updated for rest of season

MotoGP » Laverty: it’s a monkey off my back

Jakel: Laverty would be better going back to WSBK
Maybe in 2 years time he should go back to WSBK but for now he's right to give motogp a shot. When you see how Suzuki is doing this year in WSBK and how Jonny Rea is destoying everyone else, he's much better off where he is now. I believe he had an offer for the Pramac ride this year and that would seem to be the better bike but hindsight is 20/20 Eugene's doing well. Some people called him a crasher in WSBK but he has finished every race this season.

WSBK » ‘Poor day’ scuppers Laverty podium expectations

I was thinking about potential moves for next year and what I came up with is as follows, It's been a disappointing year for Eugene and I believe he has only a 1 year contract and with the possibility of the Suzuki MOTOGP seat is looking less likely, I think he could be on the move and I think it's back to Aprilia in place of Guintoli. Eugene can win races on that bike whereas Guintoli, despite being consistent, wins very few races. Another on the way is Baz. Kawasaki won't want the tension with him and Sykes and Baz, despite being on the best bike,is yet to win a race. In his place will be Guintoli. By all accounts a nice guy so Sykes would approve of him as a team mate. Then again, I am probably completely wrong..

WSBK » Lowes battles through pain barrier for top ten

Fair play to Lowes ,not one complaint. He made a fantastic start from 3rd row of grid. In many ways he has more at stake that Sykes. He's trying to establish himself in WSBK whereas Tom is well established there I suppose Alex knows the shoe can be very quickly on the other foot. After all he did bring down Shane Byrne at a crucial stage last year in BSB I suppose that's racing for ya.
