MotoGP » Lorenzo: I had to play my final card

Realist:
SkyWilk:
letsblaze: His reply was on point. The championships he enumerated were exactly the years when they were both on Yamahas.
Forgetting that in 2008 they didnt even have the same tires right?...
That's really irrelevant. Different tires doesn't necessarily mean "better" (referring to the relationship between tires and riding styles). It is what it is .....er was. Stop trying to adjust the goal posts.
If equipment is irrelevant, do you want to compare the Rossi Ducati years with everybody else? Yes, let's talk about "moving the goal posts"...

MotoGP » Lorenzo: I had to play my final card

crashnetdummies: First time JLo had a down year in premier class, he still finished 3rd in the standings. Look at all that hatred, it's mind boggling. If someone still question whether the internet brings out the worst in people, just read this garbage... And run away.
Then we are supposed to be surprised when winners get booed on podiums. Most of these posters are just venting frustration because Rossi hasn't been a contender for any championship for 5 straight seasons now.

MotoGP » Final 2014 MotoGP Championship standings

Oh i will clarify a bit my comment. What i mean is that i don't think Rossi can fight fot the championship. He had tires to his liking all year long, unlike Lorenzo, yet he only managed to just beat him, and still finish miles away of Marquez in the championship. It wasn't Rossi that mounted a championship challenge, it was everyone else that just folded right from the beginning of the year.
