F1 » Hamilton: 'I don't want it easy'

Googolplex: Tomco, You may be right about that, but getting into the right team is 9/10ths of the battle. Lewis's decision to go to Merc was a pretty inspired choice as things worked out, and I distinctly recall many posters saying he'd lost the plot leaving McLaren for Merc.
I remember that too, everyone wrote off his F1 career. Now the same people are hating him for having made a wise choice leaving a championship winning car.....

F1 » Red Bull surprised by Mercedes brake change

richard: lucat. nobody is denying that it was ok to replace the front brakes as one failed. the issue is that merc replaced the rear discs at the same time. these were from a different manufacture and had not failed. and such changes, which affect the performance of the car, are not allowed in parc ferme. damaged parts could be replaced, but not other parts.
But Ric I thought you would know that even with your school-run soccer-mum car you are not advised to use different manufacturer brakes discs and/or pads at the same time. Merc was well within their right if allowed to change to change the entire system and take into account the safety aspect. Its that simple...I hope NR gets into a similar position..lets hear what you will be saying...

F1 » Rosberg wins but Hamilton recovers to third

George Zaidan:
champers: @richard. What absolute drivel. Vettel had best car and best team for all his 4 wdc. Ricciardo is now showing how good he is as a racer too. If you hadn't noticed generally in F1 the best car wins as long as the driver is fairly good. Alonso is one exception that always extracts more out his car than most
WOW! Ricciardo is showing how good he is by beating a team mate that has had more mechanical failures than anyone on the grid this season? you're funny. maybe not everyone, but certainly everyone on the top tier
George when its NR leading LH thanks to LH many mech failures you deny it. But yet use the same reason to justify SV's ordinaryness (if that's even a word). He is being embarrassed by a rookie teammate PLAIN and SIMPLES....

F1 » Rosberg wins but Hamilton recovers to third

richard: champers. wow! you seem to know more than any of the acknowledged experts. the bull was NOT the best car in two of the years that it won the wdc. the macca was in fact adjudged to be the best. but the bull was second best. and it took a good driver to bring it to the top. and then you defeat your own "expert" argument, but pointing out that ferdi can win in a car that is not the best! it s not always the best driver in the best car that wins. it can be the best driver in not the best car that can win. remember nicos father? the williams was not the best car yet keke by being consistent managed to win the wdc. check your history books!
You are conveniently forgetting that the Macca was good on straights, and one lap dash but was poor at conserving its tires so that lessened it's superiority over the RBR as a whole, because performance is based on raw poor, efficiency and tire management. So in short RBR had the best car overall...Please don't

F1 » Rosberg: I would have won

rob01: I thought Nico was so smart he could drive around problems. He knew of the issue a number of laps before it failed. Would have thought he would have pushed a bunch of buttons and fixed it himself.
Oh rob01 poking the LH haters I see. They will make up all sorts of theories as long as Rosberg is leading by virtue of LH dnfs not that he has beat him fair and square but today was an eye opener. Reliability issues affect all drivers how the hell does rosberg fix issues while driving a car honestly i thought that was pushing when i read some comments on this site. Whats worse is that crash moderators have a dislike towards hamilton for whatever reason becoz they don't delete even the very sensitive personal attacks on LH or any other racer of colour. So much for fair play or does that only apply to fifa.

F1 » Rosberg: Drivers will always hide advantage

mrfill:
ProfessorX: sadly Nico's only advantage seems to be in the pits and not getting mechanical DNFs. keep praying Nico, only Mercedes can secure you your championship.
Yes, he appears to be able to position his car in the pit box more accurately and not require the crew to reposition themselves, according to Hamilton. On top of that Nico has the advantage of being able to assess and deal with problems in a less destructive way. Nico also has another advantage. Its called being 29 points ahead.
Really I can see Nico fixing his brakes at 300Kph while on the home straight, I see him fixing his KERS as well.....He has just been lucky and besides its a little too soon and the gap is only because of 2 DNFs by Lewis which in his defence were mechanical faults. Do u think Lewis's engineers were just sitting there and watch him cook his brakes and saw what Nico did to fix his and waited to see what Lewis would do with his..Cmon

F1 » Ricciardo snatches win in Canada thriller

Well I'm disappointed, but again Lewis wanted more competition, I guess he is getting his wish. I love the guy but he tends to talk too much and lose concentration. I am a Hammy fan but I know from experience it is a downward slide from here on...The next thing he will be moaning of relationship problems, "My head is not at the right place..blah blah". I hate to be on the losing side, so Go Ricky

F1 » Hamilton: I wish you could see the data

Good race Lewis, keep the momentum going we are cheering for you 100%. The world will always have haters...But u know that u r good at what u do when u have an increasing number of haters. The same ppl who r hating on Lewis were hating on Seb just a few years ago calling him names like Justin Bieber, finger boy etc... I bet u the same ppl can't even drive an imaginary car. Without Lewis Hamilton in formula 1, I think websites like crash.net will become extinct. LH is the only exciting driver in F1 admit it. If LH were to quit F1...F1 will be "dead" like WSBK after Haga and Troy Bayliss left.
