MotoGP » Ducati confirms 'GP14.2' debut

Matt Oxley wrote a great article about the structural problems at Ducati, with regard the engineering dept unwillingness to accept or recognise their need to change from their chosen solutions. They wouldnt do it for VR or Gerry Burgess. Gigi seems to have changed that, but i guess Cal has realised that the development of the bike is going the wrong way for him. He dug his heels in to get some changes and then started stamping his feet publicly but i guess he accepted that the direction of travel wasnt going to change - hence the split.

MotoGP » Loris Baz looking for a ride

its not just purely Bazs height, but i believe its the ratio of legs to torso that means it makes a bad situation worse. As others have said, if he was pulling up trees in WSBK they would accomodate him, but other than Dorna wanting a Frenchman in MGP, he would not get a look in. It would be a lot of hassle to accomodat Bazs frame and weight for what? the possibility of big crash bills and mediocre results. whats the point in that?

MotoGP » Camier: I’m sure I can go faster

That would be a great place for him as long as pramac gets some GP15's aswell next year
Ducati only making two for 2015 (for the start of the season anyway) Part of the problem with Iannone doing so well and Crutchlow taking his 2nd year option was them having to run 3. thats why they were relieved to offload Cal. Judging by Crutchlows politically correct PR now, he might be getting some or all of his 2nd years salary paid up for him to leave without creating any waves or bad npress.

MotoGP » Cal Crutchlow talks Ducati U-turn

Read Mat Oxleys article on Ducati Its a real eye opener Its not just the bike but the cuilture in the factoryrace department. No wonder he bolted as soon as a decent offer came along. And i doubt Ducati are sad to see him go, bearing in mind Crazy Joes performance on the bike. I bet Dovi would also rather be on the LCR than the Ducati (as long as the pay is as good!)
