SofaRacer the big advantage to MotoGP's rule is not he fuel or soft tyre but the extra 7 engines per season you get, and the effective unlimited testing. I think it's a good idea, if your someone like Renault or Honda and you run out of tokens (which there only is a small amount to play with during the season) you cannot catch up. I don't think slowing Merc down would be the way but allowing more changes for the struggling engine manufactures would help the sport out. What would you prefer, Merc running away with no fight or having McLaren, Redbull, Ferrari all fighting it out.
