F1 » Kate Walker: Back to backs

"the car design lot can be in constant communication with the engine design lot,"........................ Dear me, I stopped reading right there. I must say the quality of freelance journalism on Crash leaves a lot to be desired. Sorry, but I also happen to find alibi woman journalists in F1 truly cringeworthy.

F1 » Alonso sixth but still suffering

Why do I get the feeling this is all a lot of old hog wash? Why didn't he black out and lose consciousness with a 28 G hit? The black out, or red out limit, depending on the direction of the hit, is far far less, as little as 4 to 6 G's when experienced longitudinally. I realize this wasn't a sustained G force, but nevertheless, a 28 G hit would severely disoriented a person for at least a few seconds, and in a worst case scenario could well prove fatal. Sorry, I'm not buying it.

F1 » Williams denies Maldonado treachery claim

@superdowg316. There is a simple answer to your question, that is, if you are looking for a conspiracy theory. With Bottas running up front, by making Maldonado look bad, they will be able to point out to prospective sponsors that the team has been held back by a poor driver. With Massa now joining the team, they are trying to coax a Brazilian sponsor to fund their 2014 campaign, so the message is, it's not the car, it's PM. Am I saying this is what they are doing? Hell no, but it is a possibility if you are into conspiracy theories. Lets put it this way, it's what I would be doing if I was Sir Frank and my existence was on the line.

F1 » Williams denies Maldonado treachery claim

Oh, come on. I'm not his biggest fan, and I think he has limited ability, but to dismiss his concerns out of hand is simply silly. The difference between pastor and his team mate was striking, to say the least. I'm almost positive the team weren't complicit in a plot to sabotage him, but who's to say some bitter employee, who now has to look for a new job because of the reduced budget, didn't do something to make him look bad? Those things do happen. I'm not saying it did here, but it is possible, so I understand his concern.

F1 » New Mercedes chassis for Hamilton

Come on Bob, the world and his brother were expecting LH to whitewash Rosberg (or as Lewis would say, "do a Michael Jackson on him, LOL) and it hasn't happened. In fact Rosberg has more than held his own. He might be trailing on points, but he has twice the amount of wins and more podiums, so it's pretty even right now. Considering the one is considered to be no more than a good journeyman, while the other is an ex WC, I think their roles need to be reconsidered, don't you?.
