MotoGP » Ducati rejects ‘winglets are dangerous’ argument

DBL: “The winglets are useful to reduce the tendency of the bikes to wheelie and I believe that we all agree when we state that a bike that keeps its front wheel down on the track under acceleration is safer than one with its wheel in the air,” Dall'Igna added. Not as safe as a rider applying a bit of back brake to keep the front wheel down instead.
I dunno, having over heated my rear brake one time, and having to drag it off the road and having smoked my rear brake line/fluid, I don't think it's worth it, especially when you look at how much more rotational weight and unsprung weight you would have to carry to offset rear wheel breaking on almost every corner exit, plus. While I understand, and have even picked parts of my self off some sharp edges of a bike, if you can keep the wings so that they don't represent a serious hazard, then it's better than fancy electronics.
You can't just make stuff up.

WSBK » Hayden: Everything that could go wrong, did go wrong

xsavior: Honda won't let Nicky take anything of their non-Spanish marketing campaign. You guys can down vote this statement all you want, but Honda and the dutch team will not let Nicky have the opportunity to beat their meal ticket. Hayden needs to ditch Honda, they only care about his name, they don't care about him as a rider, they will use him up like all the rest of the riders they like to consume, hope Nicky can get a ride on that factory Yamaha, or get a solid ride. Reliability, electronics and setup will dog him for the rest of the year, while his mediocre teammate gets proper factory support/investment. the facts are VdM sucks at Aragon, and that meant Nicky had almost no chance of doing anything interesting there. Period.
New name, same old post

MotoGP » Marquez out to defend perfect record in USA

MrQwerty: Marquez will win the championship this year.
The bookies agree with you.
Bookies odds reflect the way people are betting. I staked several billions on Marquez winning the title, hence the falling odds. They tend to be very prone to fluctuating based on recent events. If Lorenzo wins COTA (he won't) then by this time next week he'll probably be the betting favourite again. But though my claim could be seen as a kneejerk, I have thought this pretty much since last season ended. Having said that, it took until Aragon last year for me to change my mind that Marquez was winning the 2015 title, which shows what I know.
Who's going to win the Grand National ?
