MotoGP » Modest Brno expectations for in-form Redding

stonapersona:
alanw5293:
stonapersona: not a big fan of the guy. if he does better than crutchy next year i'll be happy but not suprised he could ride a mop with wheels and still do better than cal.
We know your not a fan of Scott's,you tell us all on a regular basis. Then again your not a fan of any Brit rider!!
Thats not true. I've been a fan of Bradley Smith for awhile. He seems like the only english rider that doesn't feel like he's entitled to everything. cal and scotty are no barry sheene, let alone a jeremy mcwilliams.
I don't think you can tar Scott with the same brush as Cal as far as sense of entitlement goes. I think SR has handled himself brilliantly this year off track and is more than earning his seat ( and hopefully upgrade ) on track. Im my opinion he sits pretty well between Cal attitude and Bradleys often OTT, PR rhetoric. SR is certainly the top performer of the 3 this year.

F1 » Horner angry at ‘negative’ focus in F1

mrfill: Racing? I don't call two cars belting off at 2 seconds a lap faster than anyone else racing. If the Mercs are 1-2 on the grid, what overtaking is there at the front? The mid-pack produces racing and overtaking but the idea of racing is to win and when you have to hope for a breakdown to have any chance of a podium, its no surprise that interest is waning.
OK,so there's been no improvement in the racing? No overtaking? No spectacle or interest this year?? Jeez... maybe you should compare this to the late 90's and then talk about interest.. If you honestly think that "racing" is solely for the top 3 and thats all F1 is about, then maybe you should go back to watching football. Nice and simple for the mind to digest with either win lose of draw....

F1 » Horner angry at ‘negative’ focus in F1

I agree 100% with Horner. There's so much BS talk and melodrama from the media and so called F1 fans that it drowns out the hugely positive direction that F1 has taken on track. We spent about 10 years hoping for some overtaking and excitement on track and finally have it in abundance. But people just find something else to bitch about instead... Just enjoy the racing and our sport. Its the best its been in as long as I can remember.

MotoGP » 'Fantastic' Suzuki MotoGP test for Laverty

Great that he's had a chance to get to know the bike a bit before going to Phillip Island. I think thats going to be the real test, familiar track and with RDP as a benchmark. As much as I like Randy, I think that Eugene more than deserves a properly backed GP machine and has taken the right approach in avoiding the Desmo and biding his time. I for one, think that this could pan out well for him.

MotoGP » Smith relishing Mugello return

Interesting how its all the loud mouths here who bag on Smith. While those who enjoy the racing and respect the riders seem to rate him for what he is. I've always liked Brad, respect his approach and honesty. I'd hardly say his seat is wasted, in fact I think that Herve probably appreciates his technical input and approach to racing. From a teams point of view, he's a solid, experienced, well mannered and respectful rider, those are few and far between nowadays.. But no... ok... lets just replace him with another over-rated, over sponsored ego and give up...

F1 » Rosberg: 'Megaphone exhaust' made no change

I don't know about you guys, but wtf is that??? I thought it was a bit strange that they were referring to the "megaphone exhaust" over the weekend, but that's the stupidest thing I've ever seen.. I get that they can't go messing with back pressures etc and altering the exhaust system totally (certainly not with the other issues they all have to sort first ) but I don't understand why the teams, seem to be, being so awkward about the subject of changing the sound. To me at least, that monstrosity smacks of someone trying to make a point..
