WSBK » Fabrizio leaves Grillini, Staring to replace

It may be viewed as a waste in some ways but one way to look at it is that he got to spend a year in MotoGP with the fastest riders in the world with the fastest bikes in the world at the best circuits. He may never get that chance again and I don't blame him for taking it. Great to see him back in World Superbikes though, amazing racer who showed great talent in the superstock championship. Expecting some interesting things from him this year.

MotoGP » Corsi MotoGP debut ‘incredible experience’

The test was basically because Colin was going home on the Monday and felt there was nothing they could test at this particular time. As Colin was not there they chose to offer Simone Corsi a ride on the bike as it allows for them to understand if Colin were to get injured or for at the end of the season when he does retire whether Simone would be a good option as a replacement. It's also possible that it was one of those "reward" things that some riders have in the contract or the teams offer to them. I.e. Do well for us in Moto2 and we'll give you a test on the MotoGP bike, it's not unheard of.

MotoGP » Smith keen to continue ‘steady improvements’

Rabat would be a good shout, but MarcVDS are in talks with Yamaha for either a full open bike or engines with Kalex frames for MotoGP next year and to take Rabat with them. The way Rabat seems to be getting on with the MarcVDS boys I wouldn't be surprised to see him run with that plan should it all go through instead of Repsol, especially since Yamaha will be looking for a few great Moto2 riders to aim for.
