Le Mans » Porsche confirms third LMP for Spa, Le Mans

ZEDX: Can't see Hulk in the 3rd car.. he wont be able to compete surely? I can't remember any F1 driver doing WEC as well... it's normally only the test/reserve drivers who have time to do other series. Still, WEC / LeMans beginning to overhaul F1 in popularity.. bit more TV coverage would help .... (are you listening, Sky, BBC, ITV?)
The season isn't clashing with next year's F1 calender at all. As long as he gets the okay from the FIA and VJ, he's good to go. If you ask me, Webber did pretty well for his first season and some LM drivers like Lotterer did ok on their first try at F1 too.

F1 » Ecclestone: F1 issues ‘probably my fault’

Now the question is, what's gonna happen next year. Will they revisit the idea of a spending cap? The only way it will work is if someone at the FIA grows the balls to tell the big teams to ram it up wear it hurts. We all want to see more exciting action and we all want to see Sauber and Force India on the grid next year, maybe even competing for the championship if there's some equality among teams.

F1 » Ecclestone: Caterham, Marussia could miss Austin

107SS2009: There are at present some rumours doing the rounds saying that Audi is set to abandon DTM and Le Mans in favour of F1.
These rumours have been doing the rounds for years! I read this already and I call BS. For one, DTM would be nowhere without Audi's influence and they'd never abandon it for F1 - which requires a large input of cash and doesn't give much money back as a reward! :P Secondly, all the sites that posted such an article said that if it's true, Audi will shoot for 2016. It would be impossible to put a team together and finish researching/building an engine that early.
