MotoGP » Eugene Laverty: Opportunity knocks

biaggi: He has not the skills to be competitive in motogp. Aspar choose Laverty because he was the only one to accept a ridiculous salary
Are you trolling or just a clueless s**t? He certainly has the speed, the only possible weakness is maybe chucking the bike down the road a few too many times. However the likes of Stoner and Marquez have also been known to have the odd 'off' a bit more often than they would like to and yet they have had good careers in Motogp. Don't write him off just yet, the limiting factor here is the bike, not Laverty's skill.

MotoGP » Marquez beats Mees in Superprestigio

I think what sets Marc apart from a lot of other riders is not just the sheer speed, which he surely has. It's the aggressiveness, the desire to win at (almost) all costs, without going too mad in the process. The way he was just stuffing it up the inside of people showed them who's boss. A lot of riders just aren't willing to stick it on the line so much, and when they do, they just end up taking people out with crazy moves.

BSB » Broc Parkes to BSB with Milwaukee Yamaha

windyman: It's a great shame that a British team are not running even one British rider in what is , after all the british superbikes championship. Maybe there should be some stipulation that brit. Riders have to be included in every team .We could end up like that football nonsense otherwise.
Nationality should not be a factor at all, the quality of the rider and what they bring to a team should be the only thing to consider. BSB should be attracting high quality riders from all over the world, not turning them away to fill some Brit quota. As for this particular signing, It's a shame for Bridewell, he finished higher than his team-mate Brookes and they ditch him? They had a decent line up with a mix of youth and experience. Just hope Tommy secures a good ride for 2015.

F1 » Hamilton takes second F1 title with Abu Dhabi win

kma55: Well deserved. Shame that Nico had car trouble but it wouldn't have made a difference in the end.
Actually, if their cars were switched today we would have Nico as world champion.
You could come up with a thousand 'ifs' that didn't happen that would have changed the result. I was talking about something that did actually happen and had no effect on the result.
