F1 » Rosberg v Hamilton: Have your say

Big deal racing incident, things like that happen. That said Mercedes should be done with it and I expect someone from Mercedes in Stuttgart to make the decision for Toto and Niki soon. The titles are theirs so it's just a choice now who corporate Mercedes want to become WDC. Smart, articulate, non-drama, speaks 5 languages fluently Nico or drama-queen loudmouth Lewis? I think Mercedes will prefer Nico to become their Champion this year, just a DNF for Lewis next race and the gap to Nico will be so big it's well justified for Merc to make him the #2 driver. Interesting times :-)

F1 » Global TV audience ‘fell by 50 million’

Taipan: OK subscription free. I don't know how it works in the US but here we pay a BBC licence fee (which is mandatory and a rip off) but all other channels are free. Unless you want SKY which now shows all F1 races and costs about £40 a month, even if all you want to watch on SKY is the races. I don't know the figures but I'm sure the UK viewing numbers will have dropped due to the switch to SKY.
Well the article says viewing figures are up in the UK, so this system is clearly working fine for F1. Want to see everything Live you pay or else you can see highlights on Free-to-air.

F1 » Irvine: Double points embarrassing for F1

Googolplex: It is one thing to keep F1 interesting for the masses (who will come and go), but the death knell for the sport will come as they destroy its' standing as the ultimate form of motorsport when it comes to the purists and long term F1 legion of supporters. They are so stupid they are cutting off their nose despite their face.
The 'purists or long term supporters' are not a legion, they are at best 1% of the fans and nobody in F1 cares for them as they are few and most will watch regardless. As for Irvine's opinion meh who cares?

F1 » Di Montezemolo questions F1 points change

Haha Luca , well played. Sucks up to some disgruntled fans -who swallow his words unquestioned- and next year everybody has forgotten about it. It's about the money fools, TV companies pay big bucks if the championship goes until the last race and Abu Dhabi will chip in as well. Next year Bernie will ask: what do you want Luca minus 25 million or should we continue with the double points format? Case closed
