IndyCar » Aleshin hospitalised after practice accident

Wishing Mikhail a speedy recovery. IndyCar is very dangerous on any oval/ speedway and not just Auto Club Speedway at Fontana (also Indy 500 etc) and any driver who crashes at these kind of speeds (basically the stuff of airplanes) can expect more than a few bruises and a bad headache. Not the first time and wont be the last. This is said with the greatest of respect to all drivers and all involved.

F1 » In memory of ... F1's closest finish

I know they will never bring back the famous banked section (not in this day and age of ridiculous legislation and regulations) but they should leave the fast part of the track well alone. In the US they have "The Greatest Spectacle in Racing" (Indy500) which is still a dangerous flat out speedway but at least they still have it with speeds of 230mph+. In F1 there is relatively not much to look forward to apart from Belgium (Spa), Sliverstone and Monza - at least what is left of these iconic circuits.
