F1 » VW boss exit to open door to F1 entry?

I do so hope that they do get involved, it can only be good for the sport to have them. I believe that they'll more get more bang for their buck in F1 too, so it's a possibility. (Even though I think that this rumor comes around every few months) Ok so the Example that Honda are setting may not seem good news, but it depends how you spin it, only a few races in and they're beating cars, I think VW may want a piece of that.

F1 » Rosberg driving ‘at his best’ in Bahrain Grand Prix

I think I see what Toto Wolff is trying to say here, but that headline makes it look like a bit of a backhanded compliment. "Yeah Nico, you were awesome today. Well done for losing to your team-mate" Either way though, his confidence has to be taking a bashing. He needs to get into a first corner first and pull away from everyone at some point in the next couple of races otherwise I fear he'll lose the credibility he's built (if you believe that he has any) and become one of those "good number 2" drivers. Although if I had my wish, i'd rather have Seb and Kimi nipping at Lewis's heels. I'm still not sure that Nico's in their league..... Actually, if I'm wishing, let's throw a couple of McLaren's in there too.

F1 » Horner ‘understands’ Red Bull quit threat

This may be a stupid thing to say, but I don't see the connection between redbull quitting and one less team being on the grid. Wouldn't someone else just buy the team. Redbull started as Jaguar didn't they? Who were originally Stewart? (and probably goes back further, but I'm not old enough to remember) I think F1 would be worse off without having them involved as like them or loathe them, they've brought a lot to the table, but 2 less cars on the grid? I'm not so sure. Let them go. Let Audi buy the team. And then my girlfriend and I can have our own little battle (she's got an Audi, I've got a merc)

F1 » Horner ‘understands’ Red Bull quit threat

richard: handcard. red bull is TWO teams. and yes, they purchased a dead two teams. so keeping numbers on the grid as for audi. they have no interest in entering f1. they state that they are only interested in wec and promotion of diesel power
Ok so maybe the Audi thing is just me hoping (if I can get the missis into F1, it's easier to justify sitting on my backside doing naff all for a few hours every other Sunday) I do see your point on the other fact too.. I just wanted to chuck it out there that F1 isn't neccessarily doomed if Redbull take their bat and ball home.

F1 » Mercedes dominance is good for F1, says Smedley

I've always thought that Rob Smedley seemed like a good bloke, I really like the fact that he's said this. F1 needs more positive stories to be put out there instead of all the bitching and moaning. Ok so last week's race wasn't the best and yes the new technology is rather complicated... However, Monaco is still on the calendar every year and I doubt that many of us were experts on blown diffusers either so I don't really see why there's so much negativity around at the moment. Mercedes won't remain dominant forever. (Although I own a Merc so I quite like it at the moment. I just ignore the fact that it's from 2012)

F1 » Wolff: F1 doesn’t need a big shake-up

im going to cower after saying this, but I agree with him. I don't think it needs a 'shake up' at all, like a previous poster has said, it's a shake up that got us to where we are now. I just think it needs a few slight changes (I'm not sure what they are, probably something to do with tyres or fuel) and give the field time to bunch up. Then this modern F1 has the potential to be awesome. Oh and yes. Bernie should probably go, his time is over.
