F1 » Watson: Whitmarsh unlikely to stay

The fact that Whitmarsh was not at the meeting where Ron the magnificent gave his speech to all the other Mclaren operatives says it all really, and I cant see any other position being made for Whitmarsh within the team. All I can say is, its about time. Mclaren now needs a team principal who has a past history of success. Hmmm let me see, what about the new CEO of Mclaren? When this guy has been in-charge he has instigated success with the very best drivers in F1, with names Like Prost, Senna and Hamilton. Ron was able to get the best out of these with Prost being the best for strategy , Senna the most complete F1 driver and Hamilton being the most successful debutant in F1 history. For me it is a no-brainer who should be Team principal . I think Ross Brawn has got fishing on his mind at the moment.
