MotoGP » Avintia responds to Ducati rumours


If kawasaki supports avintia in the electronics department and provides truly powerful engines they can get closer or into the top ten. Since theyre on a zx10r mod its possible. Look at tom sykes lap times on the (supposedly) slipery pirellis... Enter as factory team in 2015 (to keep proper factory software) but be clear to the press that avintia is remaining privateer and is not under full factory support. Just my idea, because i love the efforts of the smaller teams and i know kawasaki takes notice (or atleast they should)...

MotoGP » Hayden confirms Aspar, upgraded Honda plans


I say lift the factory entry of 4 rule and slam down 2016 electronics rules into 2015. This will give good bikes to more riders. and ditch corner to corner mapping. Aleix espargaro didnt use it up until recently and he still smashed on the bare bones m1. I think Aleix's M1 is a good direction of where motogp should go. He still practiced and qualified great without factory electrics. Give hayden a stripped down factory bike without factory electrics and he will smash like espargaro. I wish motogp would take notice of the level of performance riders can achieve with less eslectronics. Ofcourse keep some but use forwards bikes as base example. Plus factories will lease stripped down factory bikes for cheap filling the grid but keeping more riders competative. I think thats the idea that dorna is moving towards but still afraid of stepping on toes.

@1MoreRound Theres nothing wrong with waving a flag in support of a countryman. Whether it be from good riding or simply because "he's a brit" is good enough in my book. I wont cheer for germany in the world cup because theyre good... And because no one expects smith to do good, in my eyes he has become an underdog. Just my opinion but i believe that supporting a fellow countryman in their purpose (aside from politics) is always noble. Just my opinion. But with that being said i support riders of all backgrounds. Bashing Crutchers and Bradders i just cant do it, like some on this site do weekly...a shame really.

One more year at forward developing the ftr chassis woudnt hurt Aleix i believe. If he was being honest about the ftr potential than maybe he should stay put. Plus, sticking it to the satelite yamahas and hondas on an ftr would be priceless and he would become a top choice straight away for 2016. Theres no doubt the yamaha motor he is using has less power and doesnt have the elaborate engine maps or factory mechanic support but he still beats the satelites. So staying put would be safe. He already beats satelites so why leave

Aleix Espargaro smashing again on the "slow" yamah engine without all the crazy factory engine maps. I guess it helps to be a bit taller on a yamaha and poking out the upper body instead of hugging the side of the bike and dragging elbow (atleast in aleixs case). Very old school style he has even though he is particularly young and it sure seems to be working. Im not sold on the elbow dragging style as far as effectiveness for everyone. Bradl drags his elbow in every turn while in this race evreryone else was fairly upright and carrying much more corner speed than him. I know everyones style is different but its worth noting AEs style because it is drastically different compared to otber yamaha riders, u can even see the difference in qualifying and race results compared to his shorter brother. Just an observation.

MotoGP » Petrucci: Aprilia my priority for MotoGP 2015


I think wsbk would be good for him especially with the new rules set for next year. Staying on an aprilia in motogp means he will turn faster lap times on a factory bike but i doubt they will be up front next year or even top ten as the production hondas are rumored to be improved and ducati leasing gp13s or gp14s and running their new bike. Also the suzukis getting on the grid, the top ten bikes i dont believe will involve an aprilia sadly. So petrucci will be in the same spot more or less even on a factory aprilia. Its not that in dont believe in aprilia (cuz i do) i just dont think 2015 will be an epic comeback story for the brand
