WSBK » Phillip Island - Official test times [Combined]

JimmyThe RealOne, Being fromt the States and an avid Kawasaki & Sykes fan, I don't understand your very pointed feelings on the EBR Bikes. Hell Kawasaki absolutely sucked until changing the tides 2 years ago with Sykes. The EBR bikes are only 2-3 years old really with average riders Yates and May. I totally wish them the best but lets analyze the facts here. EBR Bikes: 1st year in WSBK, Early in development, 2 yrs old, fielding 2 riders from the states who have never seen these tracks. (yes yes I'll hit on the Ben Spies thing with Yamaha) EBR Riders: YATES nowhere near his prime when he raced a Yosh Suzuki against Mladin. Just returned from years away from racing last year. Average rider now though I'm a big fan of his. I wish him the best and hope he can find his mojo again and prove me wrong. MAY: A more recent and well known rider in AMA but still average. I also hope he roves me wrong! Never raced on these circuits. mid-teir ama rider. OK let's touch on Spies. He

WSBK » Phillip Island - Official test times [Tuesday]

Tetley, You do realize the EBR is only 2 years old. They are fielding 2 mid-tier ama riders, not guys who are on the podium every week in ama or Josh Hayes who has won several championships and I'm sure would come close to repeating what Ben Spies did in 09' is a manufacturer would give him a chance being he is in his early 30s. EBR is getting familar this year and maybe next year as they continue to develope and modify their bike to truely compete. Hell where has Ducati been for the last 3 years and Kawasaki has really stunk it up with the exeption of the last 3 years with Sykes. Lets get real and be fair here.

My post was cut off. Spies was a 3 time AMA champion racing day in and out with Mladin. He had a new yamaha and was on all new tracks but lets not forget he was a multi-champion with great skilll. He was able to compensate for the short comings of the Yamaha. Oh and wait the Yamaha has years and years of racing in its background. EBR only has 2 full seasons of racing on this all new from the ground up machine. If Josh Hayes was on this machine along with maybe a WSBK regular, then we could see where it actually stands. Hell I pray some manufacturer gives JOSH HAYES a chance in Superbike and maybe we see another Ben SPies type rookie 1st year champion. and nooooooo this is not the Harley Davidson crap Buell. This is a totally independent bike made by Erik Buell outside of Harley Davidson.
