F1 » Hamilton: There's more to come from me...

MxRacer25: Can you name a champion who really deserves his winning car ? Truth is we all know you can't win without a winning car. Personally I think the least deserving title winners are the ones who had their team mate pulling over for them, at least Hammy and Nico appear to be fighting to win. . .
well, there have been several champions that have taken a car which was not the best, to a wdc. remember vettel in 20010? then there was keke........ as for your last comment, are you forgetting the team orders that allowed lulu to win in 2014 and 2015?
Huh? Both RBRs were in the title hunt in 2010. It was one of their most dominant years but Alonso dragging the mediocre Ferrari into the mix. Massa was 100 points back. The title came down to pit strategy between Vettel, Webber and Alonso.

F1 » Magnussen closes on Maldonado Renault seat

Comical, now all of a sudden there's a whole crowd of Pastor fans on here. Throw out Palmer, K Mag isn't good enough, what did Pastor do to deserve losing the ride, etc, etc... I could have imagined rose coloured glasses and revisionism about him in 10 years but this close to the scene of the accident is comical. His new fan base oddly enough are the same that LIKE to complain about pay drivers. Get a grip. F1 is better for him gone. Lots of good talent that's had to sit on the sidelines while he barrel rolled thru yet another GP. Good riddance.

F1 » Ghosn comments cast doubt on Renault line-up

107SS2009: Apart from the PDVSA money bag containing $50 million of which PDVSA saw no need to pay-up front for2016 to Lotus, Palmer contributed $400k for each of his 13 FP1 seasons to Lotus, Lotus deal with Palmer will almost certainly have been based on the premise that Genii continued to operate the Enstone team in 2016. Ghosn said that neither Palmer nor Maldonado are guaranteed race seats for 2016 just because Lotus signed contracts with them, in my opinion this would hold true not only to any contract that Lotus had entered into but also to the whole structure of team Lotus under the new ownership. Renault will certainly have done a deal with Lotus creditors and those holding relations with Genii which see them taking at best a haircut on the debt and obligations pertaining to Lotus.
Hang on, so Palmer wrote a cheque for $5 mln to run in 13 FP1 sessions? That seems outrageous. Again though...while I could see Renault not wanting the Pastor baggage. What has Palmer done to warrant bringing someone else in? Who exactly is better or more proven?
