MotoGP » Hayden: I need to get healthy

r6: your miss placed i feel as hayden is finished in GP he won is title by rosses bad luck .i don't think hayden is in the same league as redding you seem to forget about showa suspension. nissan brakes .
I won't get into the whole NH WC debate, but I think that NH is equal or better than Redding, rookie or not. That said, I don't think either of them are top 5 competitors at the moment.

MotoGP » Redding 3.5s from Bautista

Stuey99: As a Brit I see Redding as our best rider - his results say it all. But let's all wait for 'Knowsnothing' to pipe up and tell us that Redding's strong results mean nothing as Hayden has tennis-elbow or something...and that we should 'just ask John McGuinness'
Here I am, piping up! John McGuinness has achieved far more in road racing than likely SR ever will on circuits. I make the wrist comparison because John is HIGHLY respected in his arena and it was clear what a wrist injury did to his TT this year. I do believe NH is the stronger rider of the two when fit, and that beating HA and KA is a bit of a lackluster achievement. Time will tell how far SR gets, but I highly doubt it will ever be consistent top 5.

MotoGP » Pits to victory for Marquez in Germany

Well, the race was not boring but the start said a lot about who was willing to push hard right off the bat. I'm a VR fan but was honestly disappointed with his start as he was second to MM coming down the pit road. Perhaps it was a setup issue but JL clearly had the measure of him after a few laps, just too little too late. Rossi looked a bit 2013ish to be honest. Nice effort from DP, he came tantalizingly close to giving MM a battle but was not to be. Best racing came farther back. Someone mentioned the cream rising to the top, apt assessment of MM in the race. Superb skill in showing the pace in tricky conditions.
