MotoGP » Official: Jack Miller to MotoGP with Honda

Ah choo. Rossi's no 1 sneeze!:
Poddy: Name an Aussie rider who didn't even win one GP race,
Broc Parkes. Anyway, people slagging Miller for only having won 4 races. That's all that Redding has won, and the consensus is that it's worthy of a factory Honda. I think English people just really don't like Australians having success.
Miller has only won four races in MOTO 3....Scott has done the classes and has been given the satellite bike for his consistency this year on the Proddy Honda. All said A Espagaro has only one podium in Moto 2 in 10 years of racing and Suzuki seem to rate him.

MotoGP » Official: Jack Miller to MotoGP with Honda

BikeWatch: Bad news for Redding's Repsol dreams if HRC have 2017 plans for Miller. Assuming Miller is destined to take over Cals RC213V ride eventually, lets hope Redding can out perform him and be in with a shout... assuming HRC are looking to replace Pedrosa in a few years. Lets face it, Marc ain't going anywhere.
Miller has signed with Honda for three years,Cal with LCR for one so unless Cal gets podiums Miller will probably have year on proddy, year on satellite ready to join MM in 2017.Don't forget had CS not got fed up and gone home DP would have been pushed to make way for MM last year. Scott will have to win races to ever get a sniff at one the Orange Honda's and if he was winning why would he need one.

MotoGP » Scott Redding to Marc VDS Honda

Garcia: Yes Crutchlow also Bautista got on the podium in Le Mans this year, he also got on the podium last year as well as Bradl and Dovi when he was in Tech 3. The satellite bikes are potential podium finishers the problem now is that the Ducatis are becoming faster so will be harder for the satellites to fight for the podium.
Agree..especially if the Ducati's are allowed to continue under the works/open rules that they currently have .

MotoGP » Scott Redding to Marc VDS Honda

MagicNumber:
Revilo52: I think what has always held Redding back in his career is his weight. He's not a typical British rider either because he didn't come up through British Championships and came up the Spanish route which is evidently much more beneficial for a rider to enhance their skills and mental attitude.
Did you hear today that Leon Camier has been turned down for a ride in 2015 at Aspar simply because he is too tall? It's true. Seems teams want midgets, even though the guy that won today is almost 6 feet tall. What a load of crap!
Aspar have turned down Baz also because they say they've had difficulty setting the bike up for Leons height.. Another argument for combined rider/machine minimum weight..watch Scott go then if that was to happen.

MotoGP » Redding: 2015 options open at the moment

Indianbear:
Autonomous: So why not Miller on the open bike and Redding on the Factory bike all under the MVDS banner. I personally think that Redding has a much better chance of success on a factory Honda than Crutchlow (who seems to have become a bit of a whinger). Perhaps had Crutch changed his style he would have done far better with the duke, he's going to have to change for the Honda. Good luck to Scott, lets hope he gets the break he deserves and factory equipment next season.
good point ...they always mention LCR
The Mvds scenario has only come up because of Gresini loosing it's sponsor. HRC probably want Miller on Proddy in 2015..Cals bike 2016 ready for Pedrosas in 2017...Marquez Jnr will be in Moto 2 so Miller will have the upper hand come 2017.

MotoGP » Aprilia confirms Gresini for MotoGP return

Pakundo: I feel sorry for Redding, will Gresini have to pay him out ??? Just watched the practice and they say it will cost 5 to 6 million euros for Redding to ride the Sat Honda for 1 year. They say that Honda want Redding and so do Dorna want him on that bike. Shame you're not Spanish Scott. Same goes for poor McPhee who has to find 400,000 euros to keep his ride. Crazy
Gresini must have sealed this deal with Aprilia ages ago, seems as though they have tried to get Scott to resign so that he would have had to buy out of his contract rather than them pay him off....hope they haven't put him in a position where he has no options left if nobody can find the money for the satellite bike. Just hope HRC don't find some spare cash and give the bike straight to Miller!!

MotoGP » Home roar for Redding, builds Factory case

Greebo666: I live and work in the UK, for a company called Eaton, most people including me have never heard of them, 22bn turnover last year. It's time for some people to invest some cash on something more risky and much more publicly beneficial than hedge funds...
Not much interest in football but Man Utd have just spent about 75 million Euros on one player...Marc VDS have to raise 3.5 million Euros to lease a satellite Honda..the world of sport is crazy.

MotoGP » Marc VDS pushing for Redding-Honda deal

Just read an article/interview regarding the MarcVDS situation, seems the sticking point is that only the top 22 teams get world wide freight costs and free tyres, as new Moto GP team has to cover themselves until they finish a season in that top 22... Would work quite nicely if Gresini took on the works Aprilla role..they wouldn't be a new team would they only a new bike.
