MotoGP » Frustrated Redding seeking answers

Rexxy: @alanw5 so is suzuki...yup exactly...suzuki has 2 awesome riders in Aleix and Maverick.....its the riders feedback which help to setup the chassis nd its his inability to do that. so now you are playing "Blame the Team game"...
Moto GP is a team sport and when you have a rookie rider with a rookie crew everyone is on a learning curve regards turning feedback into positive results. VR obviously felt JB was hindering him at Yamaha sacked him,now look where he is,back on top. Aleix has 1 podium in around 80 GP starts that's not awesome.

KnowNothing: This is the Smith movie playing out all over again. Much hype and anticipation over someone with a relatively ho-hum record, who then delivers predictable semi-average performances while rabid fans who are sure he's really a MM93 beater cook up a flood of excuses. When the weight, height and bike excuses run out in a couple of years there will be the sound of crickets, just as is the case for Smith.
Not sure what is worse the adverts that are making Crash Net a pain or yourself trolling the bike racing series dissing the Brit riders...sorry,you nearly had a good word for Danny Kent after Argentina, but you spoilt that by bringing up how he failed in Moto 2. Half the riders who are fortunate enough to get the chance to race a Moto GP bike will never podium but a 10 bike grid isn't a race.

Posters keep saying Scott is on a works bike,it's a satellite Honda and until Jerez he had the chassis that MM rejected. Don't deny that the results are very disappointing but the depth of field this year is the closes for many years.. Maverick is rated as the next big hitter in GP and Aleix is beating better bikes on the Suzuki, don't recall VR,JL and DP getting so much stick for being beaten by a rookie in 2013. Also Dovi and Ianone got good results on the GP14 last year so why shouldn't the Pramac riders be continuing that, they are factory supported, will probably have GP 15's before too long.

MotoGP » Long night ahead for Marc VDS

Horsemen46: Scott needs an HRC alumni in his box. VDS hasn't a clue how to begin to setup that machine.
Agree,Cal's team have been working on evolutions of this bike since CS was with them..... Getting this bike was M Bartholemy's ambition probably more than Scot's. Still think the Pramac Ducati would have been a better option,at 22 years old he has time to developed but on the Honda it's a case of "you should be top 5 " every race...This bike could ruin his GP career.

MotoGP » Redding surprised by Espargaro reaction

Garcia: @ Rexxy When Criville famously took Doohan out, and that was a really dumb pass and Criville was obviously in the wrong, Doohan didn't sit around waiting for Criville to apologize to him, he went straight to him and faced him. If Pol had a problem with Redding he should have gone over and confront him instead of having a twitter meldown. I think that's what Codger meant. Actually Criville never apologized, basically said yeah I made a mistake and took you out, it happens, deal with it, I am not apologizing for anything, which takes some balls to say to an angry Doohan, lol, I give him that. But I guess those were the good old days, nowadays seems riders are (insert p word here).
Have you seen how much bigger than Pol Scott is and considering how easy it is to make Pol cry twitter was probably wiser for Pol,especially if his mum was at home.

MotoGP » Redding eager to put Austin tumble behind him

salieri: Judging by some of the sad posts on this site it seems the trolls that were on the Motorcycle News site have moved over to this one just to have the attention that they can't get in the REAL world......
Good shout..the same posters pick up on every thread regarding Scott with the same "not good enough" comments. All of a sudden he's crash prone and reckless, which his record proves otherwise.

MotoGP » Redding's top six hopes dashed on first lap

AmIEviL: @matty what has he done right? Qualified in the top 10 with one on the best bikes on the grid?
There are six works bikes, four satellite bikes, two open/satellite Ducati's,plus the two Suzuki's on the most open grid for years.and you feel that qualifying sixth on one of the top ten bikes is not good, never mind having only his second crash in twenty Moto GP starts.

SmokinHaddock: He needs to take a leaf out of Danny Kent's book. That lad is already showing more maturity. Even when he messed up the start he took his time to get in his rythmn and then pick off the slower riders. Similar to Rossi last time out. No point taking the club sprint race banzai approach. Lets hope he doesn't make the same mistake again because he clearly has raw speed.
Danny Kent did ride a very mature race on Sunday but let's not forget we're talking moto 3 not moto gp.He qualified so much faster than the rest of the field that he knew he had the pace to check out the conditions before making his move, when he did he rode brilliantly.. can't do that very often in Moto GP and as much of a Scott fan as I am please don't compare him to VR he has a little bit more experience,14 years I think....Didn't another 22year old make rare mistake in Qatar and even he could catch up with the front pack.
