MotoGP » Dark night for 'worse' Rossi

It will soon reach a point when a) Rossi is simply not justifying his salary to Ducati/Marlboro, b) he will not be missed in the Motogp paddock by Dorna and c) his once loyal fans turn against the GOAT. When these are true - Rossi will be gone gone from Motogp whether he quits or is pushed. I would love to see him in WSBK just to p*ss off Biaggi.

IndyCar » Your views: The future for IndyCar

What is the long term strategy for open wheel racing in the US? We've had Cart, Champcar, IRL. Two series competing in a market only big enough for one. The IRL was created as an oval only series and here we are contemplating going majority road course. Is open wheel racing in the US a domestic or international series ? Surfers Paradise has gone as has Japan and yet there is Brazil plus possibly China. Is there a market in China? Agree about comments re US drivers. Marco may be an Andretti but he ain't going to be a champ as he stands. Drivers like Franchitti, Wheldon have come up through the competitive European series, Wheldon was a contemporary of Jensen Button who is an F1 champion. Plus they have adapted to ovals really well. Just like Nigel Mansell. I look at the organisation of F1, motogp and world Superbikes as well as strategy and the IRL looks amateurish in comparison

IndyCar » Series opts out of Vegas return in 2012

Ralf - I believe this is the first time Indycar has raced at Vegas for some time. I remember there being a Champ Car race at night and It was next to impossible to overtake. Indycar needs to look at the high speed banked ovals it races on and whether it wishes to risk another unfortunate incident. I also question the quality of some of the newer drivers especially those pay-drivers and experience levels on ovals which are pretty well unique to the US

IndyCar » Dan Wheldon killed in Las Vegas accident

Racing from the back of the pack is not unusual. If you pit on a green for fuel or to say fix a puncture you are often at the back and have to work your way forward. I think the track wasn't suitable for the number of cars and being the end of the season - there were a number of drivers looking to impress team owners for drives in 2012. Perhaps they took unnecessary risks. Also there seem to be a number of drivers with relatively little experience of ovals or who have brought money to the teams and lack the skill to drive them. Anyway - its very sad and I hope steps are taken to lessen the risk of this happening again.
