MotoGP » Assen: MotoGP v WSBK

But Rawdawg - with the 125 and moto2 classes producing a conveyor belt of racers - where are they going to go when there are only 16 rides in Motogp. Plus do we really want to see riders like Toni Elias in Moto2 cos they cant get a job in Motogp ? Plus I can think of 2 motogp riders who went to WSB and didn't hit off straight away - Biaggi and Guintoli (though Biaggi is looking for championship this year)

MotoGP » Assen: MotoGP v WSBK

With Motogp going to 1000CC bikes - there is going to be so much overlap with WSB that a merger between the two series would seem sensible to prevent a duplication of resources and lawsuits flying back and forth. What I enjoy at the moment in BSB/WSB is the superstock class (600 and 1000) 'Lowish cost' real racing on 'street' machines with hungry youngsters trying to impress and take risks. This class should be encouraged in the future to keep costs down and bring talent along.

MotoGP » Ben Spies celebrates first MotoGP podium

If Yamaha want to bench-mark Spies for a production ride next year - they need to get Dorna to give Spies the opportunity this year. The bike is being wasted left in the garage or with Edwards on it. Whatever happens, Yamaha have too many good riders and not enough production bikes for 2011 - unless they put Rossi in his own 1 man team (or he jumps ship to Ducati!)
