Apparently the offer made was not a good one from Briatore. But he had the keys to Renault. Bourdais was the reining champ in F3000, he should have got a shot. His test was good. Then a million champcar titles against some great drivers. He is not a bad driver. Most drivers would kill for his resume.

I am a good example of a fan saying **** it . Montreal started raping customers, in the bars, food, etc and of course tickets and hotels. I stopped going. But when Gordon Geko of F1 turfed the North American market for empty stands in god knows where , I totally said no thanks. Made me find WSBK and Motgp though . So thanks you money grubbing idiot. I now get awesome racing again. PS I have a F1 tire as my coffee table. If I am not watching, then thee is a problem

It looks possible that the team has bagged Vodaphone for next season, not just a one off. They are providing a crack team to go after the WSS championship, and probably a good salary for Eugene. Add the unknowns and once bitten of Moto2 and you can see his logic. Phil, the reason for Praia being resigned is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$, he is Portugese along with the team owners etc

There were alot of fans in Potimao. It was just not full though. I also saw the UK round, and saw lots of fans there. I was at Valencia, and again, good crowd, just not full like Motogp.

Guys like this are why I have been turned off of F1, indy car etc. There is no race in North America, and he would rather race in the desert infront of no one than one of the spiritual homes of F1, the UK. He is a ******* money grubbing ****, period. He has no regard for anything but money and does not give a **** about you, unless it will get you to give up more money. How much is enough?

I still don't understand what happened with him? He came out at Losail like a rocket, q-2nd and racing like a tiger. Not long after he just faded!? I am not saying this is true, but I wondered at the time if Dorna hated the thought of a rider coming up through outside channels and did some coniving thing. It seems alot of great Superbike riders can not make the switch. Which is great if your business is 250's and 125's. Like I said, with all the money bandied about I would put nothing past anyone. But in reality it may be he just lost confidence which created the downward spiral.

Some of you guys are too much. It was great watching Simo go at it. But to say he bitch slapped Spies is *****ic. And to say that Spies will suck in GP is even more retarded. Spies has been dominating most weekends this year. He has one bad race in which he was clearly not himself and you idiots write him off as sucking!?!? Get a grip. The one who is truly disapointing is Sykes. I would not rehire him next year as he has done nothing to warrant it. He has not been able to take points away from Haga and all. If Spies does win, he did it all on his own

Why can Dorna not do it's job and react here. It seems almost unanimous people want 990's that slide with minimal traction control. Is it so hard to give the people and the riders what they really want. Is there not a danger that these fans will get bored and go elsewhere? We will not even have burnouts next year for god sakes!?!?!?!??!

I am glad it is back, but also hope they learned a lesson too. I went to every race since 81 as a kid. But over the last ten years the city turned into a big thief. As someone who visits Montreal a few times a year in the past I was astounded to see piece of **** hotels going for $400 a night that weekend. Forget the decent ones. Seeing the price of a beer in the restaraunts, clubs etc go up $10 a pop etc etc etc. When you gounge people this bad, I say it looked good on the city to lose it. Personally, I may check into it next year, but if the hotels are being greedy corksuckers they can fick themselves.

I agree VROB, and don't forget there are alot of angry AMA riders trying to get out of the DooM&Gloom series. So there will be more competition than ususal I would think.
