Apparently the offer made was not a good one from Briatore. But he had the keys to Renault. Bourdais was the reining champ in F3000, he should have got a shot. His test was good. Then a million champcar titles against some great drivers. He is not a bad driver. Most drivers would kill for his resume.

Why can Dorna not do it's job and react here. It seems almost unanimous people want 990's that slide with minimal traction control. Is it so hard to give the people and the riders what they really want. Is there not a danger that these fans will get bored and go elsewhere? We will not even have burnouts next year for god sakes!?!?!?!??!

I am glad it is back, but also hope they learned a lesson too. I went to every race since 81 as a kid. But over the last ten years the city turned into a big thief. As someone who visits Montreal a few times a year in the past I was astounded to see piece of **** hotels going for $400 a night that weekend. Forget the decent ones. Seeing the price of a beer in the restaraunts, clubs etc go up $10 a pop etc etc etc. When you gounge people this bad, I say it looked good on the city to lose it. Personally, I may check into it next year, but if the hotels are being greedy corksuckers they can fick themselves.

I agree VROB, and don't forget there are alot of angry AMA riders trying to get out of the DooM&Gloom series. So there will be more competition than ususal I would think.

Hopefully he has found something. He seems like a good guy, and really looked fast last year. Spies needs him to stop Haga and all.

Up until recently it was all Spies, Haga and Fabrizzio at the front. If Spies wins this, it will be amazing as Sykes has just not helped at all as a teamate. Perfect opp to take points away from Haga in race 2, but he could not even catch the injured rider. It is a shame as I thought he would b huge this year after his wild cards.

Burgref, I think at this point it is foolish to think Spies is not "that" good. And given the chance to acclimitize himself on a top motoGP bike, I have no doubt as do many top pundits, Spies will shine on.

agreed on both He lasted long enough to ruin US openwheel, give the keys to the term racing to nascab and I don't care anymore. I live less than a ten minute walk from the Toronto start finnish line and will be far away that weekend. I have nothing for any of these idiots. What a complete jerk off

Would love to see another rider on the 2nd bike. Talk about a token Japanese rider! If the guy is not doing anything, get another! Hell, get a faster Japanese rider.
