Apparently the offer made was not a good one from Briatore. But he had the keys to Renault. Bourdais was the reining champ in F3000, he should have got a shot. His test was good. Then a million champcar titles against some great drivers. He is not a bad driver. Most drivers would kill for his resume.

Spies: We can't give away points like this.

I was a big fan of these guys before Spes came. But I have also beena big fan of Spies for years. Can you imagine this year if Spies was not there? No one is even close. Rea was breathtaking to watch in SA, but way back in the race. Same with many others. Thankfully Spies is there go go at it. He is an amazin guy to watch and without him this season would be a complete yawn.

Haga wins race one.
Spies needs some others to give Haga and Fabrizzio a run for their money too. Sykes would bea good start

Nieto to make Suzuki return at Kyalami
1 agrees.
If you read Matt's blog he is not very happy in the USA right now with te goons running, sorry, ruining the ama. Maybe he would look at it as a test to see how things are at WSBK? He is wionning every round with all the poles. He has zero too prove and is not happy. Come on Matt, be a racer!!

Tamada out of Kyalami, Easton to replace?
4 agree.
I would love to see Jamie Hacking get a shot. He ran close to Ben and Matt in the AMA and ran well in his MotoGP wild card.

Monza - Qualifying times (1)
2 agree.
This is encouraging. I am a Spies fan, but the field is closer together. Top13 within 1 second. Sykes looking sharp too. Spies needs Sykes to steal points from Haga if he is going to make up ground.

Spies to give all at 'awesome' Monza.
1 agrees.
Ben can do both I am certian. But he really needs Tom Sykes and company to be up there. If Tom can take points from Haga that is a good thing for Ben.But if Neiukerchner,Haslam,Rea etc can get moving they can help his cause big time. Haga is riding very well this year both in speed and in tactics. Ben needs some help if he is going to close that gap.

Ecclestone: I have 'nothing against Silverstone'
7 agree.
2 disagree.
An F1 Championship with no Brittish GP is not an F1 championship. It is a joke. JUst like the current one is without having a race in North America. Not a true world Championship. After Montreal left, I have stopped wathcing mostly. The sport is being ruined by the guy who made it what is. Bernie cares about one thing.... money. The fact that UK,Canada,USA etc won't bow to this mad king and give billions of public money is great. Let him go entertain a few thousand in the desert etc. Hopefully the true fans will find other things to do than support making obsenely rich old men that much more richer.

Delight to despair for Spies
3 agree.
Spies first race was mind blowing. My Brother has not been watching the past few years, but watched that one and is now a fan of both Spies and the sport again! Now, I really hope the other teams can get their selves together for Monza. If Spies were not in this, this would be a walk in the park for Haga this year, bar some great rides by Haslam this weekend. TenKate are in the woods, Suzuki not consistent etc. Really would love to see Sykes up thee challenging for points, or making life harder for Haga. Spies needs this to close the gap. There is ALOT of talent in WSBK this year. Be happy.
