Trevor Roberts aims high for superkart campaign

Trevor Roberts: "I want to race, I want to be at the front in the top five."
Trevor Roberts will compete again in the MSA Superkart Championship and he is aiming for a top five finish in the standings.

Having raced with Ian Harrison's Viper Racing outfit for the past four years, Roberts will switch to Phil Featherstone's team for 2013.

Roberts won the second race at the Croft round last season and finished sixth in the points table. However, he suffered a lot of mechanical difficulties.

"I want to race, I want to be at the front in the top five," Roberts said to Crash.net. "Ian is under pressure with the running other people. Maybe it's because I'm a little self-centred or a bit selfish but I think you've got to be like that to win. There are a lot of other people in the awnings. He's trying to run a business... I want to go out and be at the front again."

As well as the MSA championship, Roberts will race a Formula Ford at Kirkistown and he's also involved in the Motorsport Trailers project.
